Its been a week and two days since i took up this challenge and so far all i have is a new background without those two dudes and some color changes.

this ofcourse is after three days of learning Adobe cs6 and what areas of the code i was working with(whole site).

THIS IS ALSO A THE ONLY PLACE FROM NOW ON I WILL TAKE SUGGESTIONS FOR SITE CHANGES AND CONSIDER THEM.

No point in removing them really. You need some art. It doesn't have to be them, but it does tie into what the site is officially supposed to be.

As long as we keep Grim Tales and that nonsense off the side panels I'm happy.

There has been some discussion among mods about using this color, with the rationale that it is visible but not conspicuous, and that a probationary color shouldn't make the probated person look cool. But then, there are other options for that. I like a neutral grey for its ability to not be conspicuous if subforums have different color schemes.

Could I see some of your progress, Soulchild? Of all the people who have actually talked about making changes to the forum, I have yet to see anyone produce even a sample.

For those who haven't seen it, I've done some very light CSS changes, which you can see here. This is just a sample I threw together for Riz.

Here's a suggestion. I don't know how tricky this would be, but could each comic be represented by a smaller icon, and when you hover your mouse cursor over *just* the area of the icon, it expands and has the comic's title and artist(s) in the picture, then you move your cursor away or to another icon, and it shrinks back, and so on? Or would that be too complicated for too little aesthetic?

EDIT: Or maybe a viewing pane in the middle with the phrase "Please select a comic" and when you hover over one, it shows the comic's picture and details in it? Something like that.

That would require a little bit of a flash feature on the forum. Despite sounding nice tidy and simple, it is difficult to do without somebody skilled in the field.

Yeah, that's a bit high level and that CAN be done with php but considering we can only manage the forum template and not the site's infrasctructure, there are some things that can't be changed.

You might be able to do it using the CSS hover feature. But it wouldn't look smooth at all.
