I've spent the last couple weeks getting to/moving back into university, but haven't really been doing much in the way of multiplayer. Most of my Minecraft time has been spent working on my adventure map, which is around 90% finished as of now. I'll link the beta here if any of you would like to give it a try when I'm ready for testing.

On a semi-related note, I also think that while creative mode is awesome, it kind of spoils the magic of Minecraft after a little bit. If you decide to boot up the server again when we have enough interest, etc., I think 100% survival would likely be the best way to keep players interested.

With creative I've just found someone will work on a large project for a few days, then just leave it and move on to the next thing. In survival, you appreciate the work you've done a lot more, because to make even a small golden tower, you had to mine out a ridiculous area to get the resources.

You can't destroy blocks, etc. You're only able to interact with objects and mobs. You're meant to use command blocks which execute specific commands when activated by pressure plates, levers, buttons, etc.

So, the next patch is supposed to come out around Halloween.

Wither will in fact be the Nether counterpart to the Dragon.

• Drop Nether Star, which is used to build the beacon block.
• Summoned by placing 4 pieces of Soulsand in a vertical T-shape and placing 3 Wither Skeleton Skulls on top.
• When spawned on Overworld, the sky will become darker.

Added Wither Skeleton to the Nether.

• Gives players "Wither" effect when hitting them.
• Carry and rarely drop Stone swords when killed by players.
• Drops Bones and Coal.
• Has a high chance to spawn from an Skeleton Egg if the player is in the Nether.

Added one new painting depicting the creation of a Wither

• Used to redirect Pigs
• Right click to make them run faster

Added new decoration blocks

• Skeleton Skull.
• Wither Skeleton Skull.
• Zombie Head.
• Creeper Head.

Zombies that pick up items will now always drop them after dying.
