HOWEVER, we do not necessarily know the current relationship between the castle and Mina.
It could be possible that the count, after turning Mina into a vampire to preserve his lineage, could have assigned majority ownership (51%) to Mina in case something happend to him, in which case, the contract stands.
Mature consent is not a factor. Mina is immortal so her physical 'age' would be irrelivent if she has lived long enough.

In other news, what is up with Him?
His clothes are different than in WHAM so it is unlikly this could happen after but then why is Mimi a demon?
I may be kicking the dead here but it could be that this is before the flashback in WHAM and Mimis powers were remover after this.

OR, Him could just like 70's disco and likes to dress up. Either way...

I think this happened a while after the event in megaville. If anyone didnt notice yet Mimi have the hairstyle similar to her previous human form. I think she just recently become a demon and right now she is trainng her abilities. I think Him just like the outfit, or is a way from the writer to throw a joke. Who knows.

Wow, Him looks............Hot? for some reason Donna Summer Hotstuff comes to mind.
For younger generations- Donna Summer Hotstuff was released in late 70s- (1979 I believe...Both my parents brought me up listening to 60-70s albums....So I have some idea what I'm on about)
And HIM fits the song so nicely .......Loving the outfit and Afro, made me laugh so hard. XD for some reason it really suites HIM too. Well done!

First off, I must object to your abnormal use of emoticons.

Second, it's not 'maternal.'

Maternal is a branching word off of Matriarch- Woman leader. The word you are looking for is 'paternal'; Patriarch- Man leader.

On that note, I would say 'no.' He would not feel anything toward Mimi as far as I know. He is a demon and has nearly killed her multiple times, amputated her hands, sent her against everyone she loved and mentally scarred her using the sins of all of humanity. If he has any love for that girl it is well hidden.

Also; I am calling the possibly near future of something terrible happening to both Mina and the Count.

Further to Bird's words above, let me make this very clear right now - Afterbirth is NOT an official part of the Grim Tales canon, due to the fact it was specially-created and technically still unreleased. Therefore any insight into the future, and in particular Count and Mina's involvement in Afterbirth, should not be taken as factual.

This also means that other elements from Afterbirth are unofficial. No ghost twins. No Drax (who is NOT Dexter, by the way. Two different dudes). Elements lifted from Afterbirth may manifest in the official work later, in some form, but Afterbirth should in NO way reflect the eventuation of these or any other events depicted in the proper GT canon.

Should this change, we'll let you know.

The events of WhAM directed the course of Grim Tales canon away from the Afterbirth storyline... at least as far as Mimi is concerned. It may have been a blessing in disguise that AB wasn't released (as canon). You get to use Drax, Dani, and Manny if you choose to, or not at all. WhAM gave most of the regular cast a characterization booster shot anyway.

I just want to state for the record that I have NOT read afterbirth, and had no Idea that Mina and the Count were in it. I used hints from the current story itself to come to said conclusion.

THAT SAID; I still think something very bad is going to happen to them, with or without the 'help' that would come from me reading Afterbirth.
