Quick (possibly dumb question) who exactly is saying the world "sold!" in panel 3 (or is it meant to be a sound effect of the sign hitting Mina)? For a moment I thought this actually was our first example of post-change Mimi talking.

I actually get the impression that Vlad stepping in means that this sparring contest is over. From the beginning, there always seemed to be the impression that this was a training battle for Mimi that set up by Him and Vlad, probably with some kind of wager to see who had the better protege.

I wonder if Him would have stepped in to save Mimi if their fortunes had been reversed?

Well, as far as we can tell, as far as the senses go, Mimi isn't that amazing. It's not like she's got nineteen others which Him probably has.

Well the way I see/saw it, it was more of a comic illustrator's joke. Happens all the time.

The best way I can explain it would be in the Spongebob episode where MM and BB tried to run, and in a format that would usually say 'POW!' it was replaced with 'OLD!'

Same goes with this sign. Instead of 'SMACK!' it said 'SOLD!'
