Anyway, everything will probably look as if nothing happened afterwards. But then they gradually find out they are in some sort of catastrophic alternate reality. Cliche, but that's all I've got for now.

Like he said, he doesn't know what will happen, only what might happen, and he doesn't seem too concerned that whatever happens will be affecting him.

The heroes, however, seem to have gone through the five stages... denial, anger, bargaining, depression, acceptance.

This bomb reminds me of an old comic in Dragon Magazine where a wizard fireballs the enemy... then everyone sits around playing tiddly winks. A mook runs up and asks "wasn't there a battle going on here?" and the wizard says "Yeah, we're just waiting for the GM to figure out how much damage that fireball did."

It's taking that long.

On the bright side, if it's reached Dr. X, it's got to be "over" (as in, we get to see the aftermath) in the next 1-2 pages, right?
