You have, dear child. I was one of the best t.v. blocks Cartoon Network ever had. If you're interested, google it and see the lineup of classic shows it had.

Don't worry. If you have boomerang, you can watch all the stuff you missed. Except all the anime. That you'd have to watch on your own. They don't show any of the Toonami shows that they did before.

I'm still not fully convinced it's not just an elaborate April fool's day joke.

It still doesn't feel like he's BACK... you know?

Agreed. While I'm happy Toonami is back, I just don't feel the same towards it unlike a decade ago. Needs more variety in my opinion. I hope to see that when GITS is taken off and when Bleach is over.

I saw the review for Catherine, and they gave it a 7/10. Besides the fact it isn't an 8/10, I liked this review because it mentioned how frustrating the puzzles can be while not being too positive about it. It's a nice game, although I've never played it, but looking at it, it really does look complicated, but It has wonderful cinematics.

...has anyone played this game at all?

Yeah, can't wait till NeoToonami finally goes live. I've been so patient for this ever since they showed the updated look for their Tom and SARA, and it the CG is BEAUTIFUL. It not only feels like an upgrade, it also retains the space atmosphere look of the Absolution, and that looks and feels right.

My only problem with it is some of the show choices, but the show choices are still better than those on Adult Swim so I guess that would be an improvement.

The fans at the [as] forum wanted Gurren Lagann on [as] Toonami, so it's great to see it on NeoToonami LOL.

It's like Toonami, but the block seems to be a mix between the TOM2 and TOM3 era, providing and catering a somewhat nostalgic but updated look for both old and new fans alike. The lineup seems to be primarily anime as the only two cartoons on there are the Spectacular Spider-Man and X-Men, much like the old Toonami as well.

The difference being it's a fan project but other than that...it's like Toonami, and they did a great job. Oh, and they have a SARA unlike the new Toonami at the moment.

NeoToonami is a labor of love project that has been in the works for about two years from a group of college fans. The project has even been recognized by a key staff member of Toonami pre-v4 TOM stating that as far as they were concerned no legal action would be taken as long as none of the preexisting animation from Toonami is used.
If you need an idea of what it will essentially look like, check out this video.

The countdown also shows some sneek peeks of the broadcast as well as a full body of SARA's model, so that was wonderful to see.

So wait, it isn't an official thing? How can they not be concerned for copyright, and how would it even work? Will it be an online stream? I'm all for Sara, but this seems skeptical....

Well, it's been covered that even though they are pretty much using Copywrited names and such, it's a tribute to the block. Someone from CN said they'd only take legal action if they used any official animations Toonami used. Everything for this Neo Toonami is made by the group though, so no worries at the moment.

It is not a television program (as if people really use that as much anymore). They are not concerned about copyright because they went through a legal process gaining permission to do specific things, so there is more limitations than just not using the animation from existing Toonamis such as being non-profit other than donations for keeping the site active and any excess should go towards charitable causes and supporting the shows they air by having legal copies of the shows and permission of use. This will be done through streaming with the hours given on the site which will occur every day other than day specific programs. So hopefully this will help clear some of the skepticism you may have. This is, as said, a labor of love project from fans so no shenanigans will ensue like making profit off of nostalgia.

I saw NeoToonami's intro and it looked pretty good. Overall, it felt entirely new, but the bumpers could use some work. There are two upcoming blocks called "NeoToonami: Subspace" and another one called "The Black", which I am unsure what the purpose is exactly.

The shows being broadcasted are known to be One Piece, DBZ, Spectacular Spider-Man, PPGZ, Gurren Lagann, and X-Men: the Animated Series. Not feeling it in this case.

Subspace and The Black are a bit of a callback to Toonami in its early stages. Originally it aired every day other than Sunday. On Saturday, it would show new episodes of the shows in its program. These slots did not have different names, but they definitely had something special to them just because of that reason. Think by Tom 3.0 the Saturday thing got dropped and went to Kids WB shortly.
