Figures. Every martyr character will eventually be compared to Jesus. I think it's more that the basic elements of the Jesus story pervades common culture than Bioware deliberately inserted symbolism.

While he's pretty much space Jesus, half the connections don't make sense.

"Jesus went around the known world solving problems"

If you're Mormon I guess.

No telling just yet. But a large number of the Retaker group are -- expectantly -- pessimistic, and are expecting it to be just an attempt to take the current endings and make them longer without fixing anything.

Wonder if any of them are gonna bring cupcakes with them to PAX for the BW folks heading there.

I ultimately don't think the ending, as in what happened story-wise was bad. It was the lack of proper explanations, context, lazy copy pasting, and general bad execution than the concept that was flawed. I don't believe down-right changing it might fix anything as much as it'll send a message that game developers can't do anything surprising with their game stories and have to stick to what people expect.

This will be free and hopefully give some context that'll make the ending make much more sense. I think that's pretty good.

Oh yeah. It's gonna be an improvement, at least. Plus the fact that it's free shows that they at least want to make this right to a degree. Which is more than I can say for some companies.

And I agree, the ending was fine for plot, but they really didn't set it up properly. And it inspired too many of the wrong questions to work as an 'ambiguous' end. But then, when a large focus throughout your series has been about making choices that are meant to vary as you see how they eventually play out, you gotta expect to be stepping on a lot of toes once you're ready to end it.

Heh. Thought this might be an amusing little outcome for picking Control.

The Extended Cut really gave closure to the ending, people still complain about it but I was honestly happy with the results. I wanted closure and that's what they gave us. It's better than the ending they gave us.

After all this time, I find it very hard to care about the new endings... I've long uninstalled the game. Watched the new endings on Gamespot and quite honestly didn't see that much difference.

Yeah, they didn't really change enough of anything to warrant real attention, as expected. Only thing this is really good for any longer is the MP.

So... Mass Effect 3: Earth Multiplayer DLC pack... I'm no longer playing myself, but these new characters are looking nice.

Swords!
