Appearance: Alice is a short girl, only 5 foot tall, with bright red hair cut short, dark green eyes, and a slightly-above-average figure. She dresses mostly in black or blue denim jeans and black hoodies, hiding her face from everyone. She wears whatever shoes she can get ahold of while she looks for money. The only thing she never removes is her bracelet, a steel chain with a heart pendant embossed with "My love forever". It was a gift her friend had made and her lover had given her.

Powers: Alice was raised in an underground lab for as long as she could remember. Because of the constant tests done to her, she gained the ability to control paper. While under Alice's control, the paper becomes as solid as steel and fire, as well as anything similar to fire (lasers, bombs, etc.), have no effect. Water is her main weakness, however a diamond or diamond-coated blade would render it useless as well. The paper must have a direct line to Alice for her to maneuver it.
Using her control over paper, Alice can create blades of many shapes, claws, shields, a bow, a quiver of arrows, beast-like paper monsters (a paper chain connecting it to her), and anything else the situation might need within certain bounds.
Because of the tests that were done to her, Alice has a slightly faster and stronger immune system. Most poisons will weaken her but very few will bring her close to death. This also affects the speed at which healing injuries occur. For example, is an injury were to take a month to heal, she'd be fully healed in 24-25 days.
History: Alice was one of a handful of children who disappeared 21 years ago. She had grown up knowing only the lab. They began testing on her immediately. Of the testing subject that were taken to the lab, only 3 escaped. Many others tried. They were killed mercilessly.
Alice, with the help of her best friend, a boy who could manipulate metal, and her lover, a telepath/electropath who would rather spend her days in front of a computer than doing any of the tests, made their escape. Because some of the other children had already made deals with the scientists, the three of them were fighting through and running from kids that had once been their friends.
They had made it all the way outside when Alice's friend turned at a voice calling his name. "I'll take care of him." he had smirked, looking at the boy who had once been his best friend. Alice didn't want to but her lover pulled her away as the best friends turned worst enemies began their final battle. Alice never found out who won.
While hiding in the forest, Alice and her lover were surrounded by guards from the lab. The telepath had told Alice to run and hide, using herself as bait so Alice could escape. She'd hidden in a nearby tree and watched as bullets flew from every bush, piercing her lover's body. Unable to do anything, Alice listened as she heard her last thoughts. She held back her tears until the guards left.
That was 5 years ago. Since then, Alice has hidden herself as a new woman. She hid in the forest for 2 years, making herself stronger and faster. She figured out how to start fires with nothing but twigs, which became hard in the rain. She often hunted for her food, more so than she ate any plants.
She accidentally stumbled into a city once and was thought to be an animal. She had to relearn how to talk and, pretty soon, was acceptable among normal people. While walking around, she overheard a conversation about superheroes and how the villians they'd been fighting were starting to get too strong.
That night, she'd stood on a roof, making a spectacle of what she could do, hoping to catch the attention of a hero. Instead, a villian appeared and, because she didn't want to join him, she fought him. She returned to her search for heroes a different way, watching for anyone that didn't look exactly normal.
