Alternatively, if you don’t dig the idea of retconning, you can always timeskip your character forward to take them elsewhere. If they haven’t come into contact with any other PCs then their timeline is still mutable.

The problem is it's hard to be motivated to get things moving when I'm not even certain what it would accomplish at this point. I don't get the impression Imenak is really interested in running this thing anymore and I'm not interested in taking the whole thing over. Giving it a push is one thing but as scarce as I've been, he's been even quieter. If it turns out he really has lost interest entirely then I'd respect that but if that is indeed the case then it puts a serious damper on my own interest as well.

I agree with you on that, and without Imenak taking an active role things just won't be the same.
