I'm anything but consistent, lately I've been catching a case of the art bug, that's why I've done so much more recently than I ever have, then again, about yesterday and today I can't seem to draw anything, but i will continue to try. I do miss this place, but there is so much competition, and I really like a lot of the art I see around here, it's nice to see some new faces and styles.

It's not that I can't find anything to draw, I just can't seem to get anything onto paper that I like, mainly because I'm not very good with perspective or posing, but I'm trying.
Also I'm under large time constraints, I work a full time job, which isn't a lot actually, but I see my girlfriend on weekends, and friends through weekdays, while trying to find time for drawing and gaming, it's tough. Lately, I haven't had the drive to do either of them, mainly because of the fact that I really haven't bought a game to truly hold my attention besides Mass Effect 3, but I don't wanna' finish it, I wanna' wait for the free update for the extended ending. I'm trying my best to keep myself out of the loop of the ending, because I don't want it spoiled. Ah well. Enough of my ranting, I'm gonna' suck it up and get to work, hopefully next week sometime.

Anyways, I finally got a new computer after my old one crapped out on me.
I'm now learning to use GimpShop, it's no Photoshop, but hey, it works.

Those are some good pecs. Nice crisp line quality. Wish I could get that kind of line quality. Are you using vector, or is your hand just that steady? ^_^

It's not vector, and my hand steadiness sucks.
I used to use a Wacom Tablet, but my lines were very shakey and messy. Recently I've learned to use the Pen Tool within Gimpshop, which is outstanding, it saves time, and makes everything look smooth. If you look at my older stuff, the lines are very stiff and edged, because I used to use the Line Tool, which was alright, but made everything look very jagged.
If you're looking to do lineart, I highly suggest the line tool, both in Photoshop or Gimpshop. It takes a bit of practice, but when you learn it, it saves so much time and energy. I mean, I just recently learned it.

It's not on me at the moment, but it was just a cheapy one. The lines could be smooth, but it's so sensitive that it tracks my every shake.

If you ever want to do hand-line stuff, try MangaStudio. It's got a stabilizer in 4EX and 5.

Also, if you hold Shift, I think, in photoshop, you are forced into straight lines.
