Then perhaps Pokemon ain't the best game for you. It's one of those where you HAVE to put time and effort into it in order get the best out of it.

That is not true at all. I get through the story just fine with whatever wild Pokemon I find.

That's alright. I wouldn't have been able to do it anyway because other people were using the internet, and I have to disable my wireless security before I can do anything Pokemon related.

So, anyone ever tried to do a run where you only use a single type (or two) of Pokemon to add a bit of extra flair or challenge to the game?

I'm currently trying to play through Platinum with nothing but Psychic and Fighting type Pokemon.

Not really the kind of guy who likes that kind of challenge. To begin with, I wouldn't even delete my current file to start a new one.

Guess I won't buy it. Call me naive, but I had the idea that Nintendo would find a way to expand the games and yet, allow the player to keep his/her party from a previous game without trading and stuff. Guess that will never happen.

How would they be able to do that without trading? The data is stored in the game cartridges. If it were stored in the DS, that would be a different matter.

I thought it was possible because these new games are meant to be direct sequels. Much to my dismay, they are indeed sequels... bu with completely different characters.

I've invested so much in my current team, I'm in no mood to create a new one or beat the game again.

But if they were to release a Grey Version, you would still play it?

Probably not. As long as I can play online with my current team, I don't see any need to buy another Pokemon game, unless they release a game for the Wii or Wii U similar to Pokemon Battle Revolution.

I play them more for the story anyhow, so I'll definitely get it. Though, it would've been cool to be able to continue with your player character's progress.

Surely the character(s) will make a cameo.

The new main characters look almost identical to the ones from Black & White.

Also, knowing Nintendo, I doubt we'll ever see them again. We can only hope.

And he was the only playable character. Now we have two.

Meh...still going to get Black 2. I don't mind starting over.

The only thing that has me down are the new player character designs. I mean they aren't bad per see, but I like the Black and White ones more. *shrugs* Guess this time I'll start as a female. I like her design more than the guys.

I tend to jump around between picking the male and female protagonists. First I play a game (or one that I use as my main for battling) I tend to be a guy. Afterwards, I jump to a girl and so on. Frankly, even though I liked May more in the RSE games I still usually picked Brendan to play as. This game is probably going to be the only exception to my tradition.
