Changes in tone, changes in Attitude. William is red, but his character the checkered man is bubblegum. William is super paranoid and frankly negative, and since he's on a strange adventure, he wants to act like someone who isn't a threat and what not. However, the problem is there is certain subjects he's too passionate about that he can't play the fool.

I'd suggest adding that to your CS, possible under a Traits or Quirks heading.

Likewise to the rest of you if you're adding any funny things like that.

Definitely not steam-punk. He's a suave gentleman wearing a mechanical stasis suit with spider-legs.

It's kinda like...Dungeon Punk.

This guy would be one of those typical geniuses you get in early 20th century or late 19th century settings, that one older gentleman who drinks in knowledge, a scientist of the older years who is proficient in biology, chemistry and physics.

The stuff he makes is like science mixed with magic, with the rules of science dominating it. Strange rituals of circles and polygons, each degree carefully calculated and each rune put exactly in it's right place. Sleek and silver contraptions that have magic running through their wires instead of electricity. Ritual magic in essence but so much more, he's a fantastic scientist.

Suffice to say, he's rather unique in a world where most powerful magic users are simply born with X powers and only spend about Y amount of intelligence into learning how to shape and use it. He was born with Y amount of power and spent 3X intelligence into learning how to use it and every other magic he was interested in.

For example, Marvin knows a lot about using runes, which is sort of the algebra of the science/magic world. One rune creates fire, one rune creates ice, one rune powers them up and then you mix and match them all. It's not anywhere near as sciency though so Xenon looks down on it a little as too common. Preferring to learn arts where his huge type of intelligence gives him an edge.

They just collected and purchased those over time. They've got about twice more than the amount released into circulation as some always manage to get lost. When they need more, they just pick out the closest species that can produce gems, and once they reach the realm the species inhabits, they buy them off one of them.

Very much a WIP

CS:

Name - Immanuel and Teddums (and a cast of other 'items')

Nickname - Various ones stick out, most notably being "That bastard who animated my X" and "That bloke who took my wallet while that damned teddybear danced around" but he's partial to "Manny"

Age - 500 give or take

Occupation - "Paranormal Item Expert" - Puts spirits into and takes spirits out of objects, he does a couple neat tricks with them too.

Plane - Sixth

Gender/sexuality. Straight, presumably

Appearance - Immanuel stands just shy of six feet tall, and has long blond hair pulled back into a ponytail, with a few errant strands sitting on his brow. His eyes are a light green that seem to slightly reflect whatever he looks at. Immanuel likes to dress well and isn't often seen in anything less than a three-piece suit, unless he is helping move things, or is in a 'casual' mood.

Being/species - A semi-human species that has the ability to move souls

Personality - Immanuel is a very calm person who is known to think everything out to a 'logical' conclusion. The problem being that Immanuel's version of 'logical' is vastly different from most people's.

Items - Teddy bear with a soul

Skills - Sewing, basic repairing of various things, and cooking

History - When born into a world that's rather harsh, it would be assumed that you'll grow to be harsh like it. Not exactly so in the case of Immanuel.
