Nah, I'm pretty sure Mandy just showed him signs of respect. Grim Jr. is definitely on the spinless side, and seeing as Mandy has shown the capabilities of speaking in Nergal language, she most likely knows all the ins and outs of nergal powers. She is truly a force to be reckon with.

On another note, Minimandy's face got me worried. Her Envy is growing~

Mandy's the type to fight for benefit only herself. She saw no benefit in fighting a Nergalized Junior, so she let him "win," since Mandy would most likely lose, as formidible an opponent she is. I guess it's either that or what you guys said, that Mandy has grown respect for Junior.

As happy this scenario might seem (and yes, it's happy to me because mah lil Mimi won't be hurt ;u;), this is kinda bad. Yes, Mimi has a "home" now, but I bet Minnie's jealousy will get in the way sometime. As much as I love Mimi, I'm still rooting for Minnie x Junior, lol.

She did that because she was confident, she would have easily won.

Junior's act of defiance simply brought her a new perspective on the situation - That her son may actually be worthy of her respect; no mother would want to hinder that sort of development.

she didnt win so she lost. she wanted mimi dead and mim is alive so mand lost end of story. she may not have lost a physical fight with jr but she lost the battle in the end.


as a side not what will happen to mimi's powers now. in an afterbirth trailer pic she is shown with boxing gloves on and the ability to still transform between human and demon.

Can I just state something here, Mandy And the other 2 strongest warriors in the underworld couldn't beat Grim Jr. and more than likely she would remember that chrushing defeat at the hands of her own son. And why is it so suprising she speaks Nergal? I mean really now, the man she grew up and had an affair with was a nergal, her daughters a nergal and her son became a hybrid nergal, those are some real good reasons to learn it. And also why is it Grim jr has that lil fluff of hair as a skull yet as a human he has a full head?

^its cause, last chapter, junior gave/told mandy the middle finger. then in this we can see that she does understands nergal... see the point?

and as for me, I agree with the others that mandy just gave junior the win out of respect rather than fear. if it was fear, we'd see a flash of uncertainty or something in her eyes/expression/body. what we saw instead was her stepping on junior's tentacle.
