I think at this point it's hard to guess at what "most" "hardcore" fans disliked most about the ending. There's a lot of different problems with it that people are emphasizing differently. I'm not sure if it's a bigger issue to people that the endings weren't very different, or that earlier choices didn't affect them, for instance. Similarly, some think you blew up the entire galaxy by blowing up the relays while others would just have liked if you didn't have to blow up the relays, given some unfortunate consequences of that. That more readiness led to a better ending, if not a happy one.

When we said that the ending is bad, it's not that it's depressing or sad or something that doesn't fit into our fantasy. It's that it's just really bad writing and design.
Not to mention I found that shit annoying. Wanna make me feel guilty? Fuck no, fuck you kid. I wanted to help and what did you say? And then they felt the need to focus on his death when you leave Earth. Whoopde-fucking-doo. And as if it's not enough there's those guilt trip dreams. Fuck no kid, you can fuck off to whatever Hellpit spawned you, I'm not feeling guilty over your death and I'm not feeling sorry for you.

It's still a bit vague. It seems more like they'll expand on the original endings, to give them more context, than make alternate ones. Of course, they've had a total of two weeks to work on it, so they're probably not entirely sure what they're gonna do yet either.

Honestly, I'd prefer to stay away from any site that has had their people posting youtube vids personally attacking anyone during this. And Yahoo, for obvious lack of data reseach.

Well from what was explained, BioWare is going to make alternate endings that will be DLC. If you want the different endings then you pay for em, otherwise it stays like it is.

So in response to the bad publicity Bioware is getting for their ending of ME3, Mode7 decided to try a little test by altering the ending of Frozen Synapse

I'm not sure what to think of this...

I mean, Frozen Synapse and ME3 have nothing in common... What are they trying to accomplish here? It feels a bit artsy-fartsy to me "Look at us being all deep and understanding". I'm hoping the ending is only temporary, I still need to finish that game and I'd rather not get that ending >.>

Actually that ending to Frozen Synapse is only up for a "limited time" as the patch notes say. Really they're just making fun of BioWare.

They're actually making fun of the people who want a "better" ending.

If you haven't played Frozen Synapse, I'll just say that it doesn't really have a happy ending in the least.
