I personally always thought the real "dirty scene" in Rocko's was the bit with the photo shoot the "I spilled my puffies" joke) The way Heffer said it really said it all. Though I sometimes wondered how that could actually happen in the world of the show. Heffer's a steer, right, so that means he was "fixed" before maturity, to make him docile and increase weight gain (which goes a long way to explaining his gluttony and size). Do castrati even have that happen?

@Stuff: When I watched that scene when I was a kid, my mind was going for "developed" character-wise. The resulting laughter was to mock her. I thought it was just criticism. Years later when I saw it again, I suddenly got it. Til this day I never know how they got it past the radar.

I really would have liked to see either of those shows continue, but then cartoons started being less about entertaining people and more about appealing to the lowest common denominator.

Could be a lot worse, Spongebob Squarepants anyone?

Well it got worse, Spongebob was at least bearable for the first season. Now we have cartoons that do not even know what demographic they are trying to appeal to and any cartoon channel in general has seemingly favored going for live action or live comedies over cartoons. Thank god for Hasbro creating the HUB and sticking to what they do best in selling toys advertised through cartoons.

Also if Animaniacs has proven anything, satire and innuendo can appeal to adults without rotting the minds of children. The Hello Nurse character for example has two different viewpoints depending on age group: 1. Children- Capable of seeing love interest but no understanding as to what "sex" is without it being hinted to in any way 2. Adults- throwback to Looney Toon cartoons such as wolf howling/whistling while also understanding possible intentions behind the interest and yet nothing to fully back it up with. Of course this is not to say that they did this perfectly as they have had two specific satire scenes removed that were over the line suggestive.

Eh, I still like Spongebob. Its only when its used for the standard for other cartoons. If its not as instantly popular like Spongebob, its days are numbered. Not mention all this throwawy live-action shows. Ugh.

Reminds me of the time in Bioology class when I (who also doesnit always think before he speaks) said "Oh so jellyfish simply suck and blow." or the day back in Colledge when the cafeteria was serving Irish Pot roast (which I had never had before and mentioned this fact to my friends sitting at the table" when they asked how I liked it I said innocently "Not bad.
