Exactly, He would be likely in a mental institute, than with the rest of the "made" men.

Also its great to hear that this is going to start and soon no less.

Gender: Male
Name: Anthony Letcher

Age: 31

Birthday: 11th of November

Sex: Male.

Sexuality: Minor asexuality.

Hometown: Samhain, Winter District

Clothes: (Your character starts out with three sets of clothes. Hot (for hot weather), Cold (for cold weather), and Business)
Hot - A simple baggy white t-shirt and plain black trousers. Shades are possible. White socks and black slip-ons.
Cold - A thermal underneath a white striped shirt underneath a tough black vest underneath a double layered black Blazer. One black tie underneath a black scarf. Thick black socks with plain black trousers. Black shoes. Black ear-muffs are possible.
Business. Black Blazer. White striped shirt. Black Tie. Black trousers. Black socks. Black shoes. One plain silver ring on left hand, third finger from thumb.

Personality: Anthony is dangerourly close to being a psychopath/sociopath, possessing numerous traits found in them both. He can be perfectly charming but inside feels nothing but distaste. Lies easily and, until recently, often. He's been working on not doing so unless necessary and bringing his ego under control. A lack of guilt or shame, replaced instead by a low-level loathing for those around him, allowing him to have a complete lack of empathy and get away with numerous nasty acts and still get a good night's sleep. He dislikes personal contact in general, preferring his personal space but he can easily bury it. Ignoring all that,he has managed to make himself a bit better. He spends an hour a day on his own, trying to bring up positive emotions and better himself. It's...It hasn't been very successful, but he's recently been able to form small connections to certain others, the rest of the world can go die painfully in a gigantic gutter for all he cares so long as it's quiet about it.

Relations: Jessica Nitram- A businesswoman determined to tear down Anthony, take his assets and gain everything he owns so she may become an even more powerful figure in the world of business. Occasionally they screw, just to blow off some steam so they don't end up tearing each other's faces off in the scuffle for profit.
Clerica Angela- An older woman who, over her long life, has her dainty fingers in every pie in town and a secret about every player. Incredibly dangerous to offend and a force to be respected. She seems to like Anthony but unfortunately in more ways than he'd prefer. He'd originally planned to grow close to her using his wit and charm to sweep through her defences, like he'd done to others before. She saw through him immediately. Luckily, she still liked him but in exchange for her favour and help, she would occasionally request some...physical, company. Anthony views her with equal parts of loathing and respect. A mild fondness exists between the two.
Edgar - His pet crow. Edgar takes care of himself normally.

Ambitions: He simply wants to be at the top, just for the sake of it.

Appearance: http://fc07.deviantart.net/fs45/f/2009/ ... eraCat.jpg
Pretty pale with pitch black hair, long, but still reasonable looking if perhaps a little relaxed. 6 foot 2 and thin, a classic ectomorph with perhaps a little more muscle in his upper body, creating a better stature. He is much more comfortable wearing neat clothes, and if he can't get himself presentable, he tends to just let it go to hell and turn into a serious grump. Ignoring that, cleanliness is next to godliness. He keeps an old golden pocket watch with a date and a stopwatch function added into it. 2 pens, Black and red, and a pencil, in his top right pocket. A white Hankerchief in his left. One small gold badge, the shape of the mensa symbol. His one little way of showing off and stroking his ego, despite the fact that he knows most of his co-workers could probably join immediately also. His eyes are a dark grey, at their lightest, they are like rain clouds, at their darkest, like storms.

Likes: Class and culture, to a point. He prefers civilisation, neatness, order, a true connoisseur of the modern era. A little bit of music. Classical, followed closely by baroque. Romantic perhaps if the mood takes him. Work is important to him too, business, money, power, control. When it comes to work and leisure, there are few activities that others would simply classify as leisure. He also likes properness, civility, manners. Finally, although he may not like them, he respects people with a strong will. Which just means they must be taken care of quickly, to his shame. He finds it sad to have to destroy those few with a true and pure blazing determination, but sometimes it is simply necessary.

He likes games a lot. Poker, monopoly, even just a roll of the dice, but he only does it for "fun". He doesn't want to let his need for the thrill of gambling grow. Plus...every now and again, a little music. A Sonata or two. He enjoys playing both the piano and the viola.

Dislikes: Stupidity, and as such, people in general, and there a lot of ways for someone to be stupid in his eyes. Animals normally. Loudness, crudeness, panic and excitement.

Fears: I assume you mean a physical tangibility of some kind. If I had to make one, I suppose I would say watches, oddly enough.

Trinkets: As aforementioned. 2 pens, a pencil, a ruler also. A white hankerchief and small sewing kit. A calculator and electrical notepad, with stylus. A swiss army knife. A silver lighter and a packet of cigerettes. A small bag of plain mints. A small recording device. A USB pen. A solar-powered torch attached to his keys, along with the USB pen and recorder. A rechargable battery with a fiddly attachment making it usable to power phones, ipods, etc. Earplugs. And one old golden pocket watch with a date and stopwatch function added in.

At his home, he keeps a plain sword. The blade is very thin, perhaps a little thicker than a rapier but it has two more obvious sharp edges along itself, instead of just noticeably having a point. It's also a bit heavier than would be expected due to it being made out of inconel. This makes it much stronger too, resistant to heat and force. In reality, it's more like an ordinary sword, just compressed down, except it's balance and handling is much different than an ordinary sword, meaning only Anthony would be able to handle it well if it was taken off him. Other sword-fighters, even of different styles have pointed out he's probably handicapping himself, but it works for Anthony and that's what matters to him.

Money: 200 Dollars.

Foraging Skill: 10

Directional Sensibility:14

Background/Circumstances: He was just another urchin of the winter district in his earlier years, part of the cylce of shifting gangs and factions. He hated it. Cold nights. theft, violence, rather nasty abuse, and normally not the kind you're thinking of. He loathed it and every single person around him, at best. First chance he had, he got a job as a paperboy for a newscompany, working as many hours as he could, at age eight. When he was ten, he started working at the arts institute also. This is when he began to make connecting with people, both at the newsagent and institute. Once he was thirteen, he was an assistant to a minor, but well-off businessman. He was not a good or nice boss, and make some rather unpleasant advances towards Anthony after the first month of starting, which Anthony forced himself to accept, despite his repulsion, it didn't take long for it to escalate. He was also...coerced, into learning things that weren't strictly necessary for an intern to learn. Singing, music, dancing, roleplay, etc. Anthony was disgusted at the man, for he knew exactly why he was being taught these little things, the man just wanted to polish up his little boy-toy. At least these skills could be useful later on in life, although some of the things he was taught, he rather hoped he wouldn't have to need again, truly his boss was a disturbed little man. Anthony would later reflect on how it was rather strange how so many of the things he'd been taught could be applied in much more respectable areas, and then he'd chuckled darkly under his breath.

When he was sixteen, he displayed every nasty little secret he could on his ex-boss without damning himself and got a job of his own at a subsidary company in the Autumn district, taking evening classes also to make up for missing School, he focused on business studies and maths mostly, as well as polishing up the arts he'd learnt in those past few years. After some years of that, he got into the proper world of business. Contracts, sales, profit. He began going to social parties, learning how to fit in with the upper crust. He'd been to social meetings before, but they were generally of a much more sketchy nature. The subtle barbs and swing of propaganda and slander was much preferred to the parties his ex-boss had taken him too. It didn't take long for Anthony to rise up in this enviroment or fake smiles and deceit. Once he was twenty-five, he was in a top-floor apartment building and a darling of his world. Polite, courteous and respectable, the only thing that marred him were a few whispers amongst those few that had searched hard enough into his past, and his unknown heritage amongst the slums of the Winter District. He chose to situate his home in the Autumn District, despite most of his business being in the Spring District. He only spends a day or so every other week there, and even then he's out seeing the shows and sights, sponsering an artist or musician every now and again. To him, only the Spring and Autumn district mean anything now. The other two are just there to be exploited.

Speaking of which, a few years back he began to sponsor the Beltane Foundation, for a little quid pro quo of course. He hates waste, and seeing all those people just leeching off charity sickened him. Which is why he supplies numerous jobs to the Beltane Foundation, determined to see some use come out of the bums. He even started a searc for those will high intelligence, a fast-track for those with the potential, only held back by their origins. Plus, it doesn't hurt much to have given these people a leg-up. Mainly because he's sure some of them will remember it in the future.

Background:

Nicholas Ophiuchus Mcavoy was a conniving despot who at the age of thirty one, kidnapped his nephew Jess in an attempt to ransom his successful older sister out of her fortune, but little did he know how little value his eldest sister placed on jess. After several years Nicholas, now penniless and disavowed, left jess in America to pursue other plans.

Jess was eleven when his uncle left him to fend for himself in samhaim, the young boy with no money or passport resorted to petty theft in order to fill his stomach at night, it would have continued this way if not for the charity offered to him by a struggling artist by the name of lymerihck, who found jess freezing to death on the cold streets of winter, she fed and clothed jess with what little she could spare. Jess could offer her little in return in lieu of his circumstances, but all that changed the moment lymerihck was diagnosed with AIDS. So one day jess ventured out into the city to scrounge up as much as he could to help with her treatment fee’s, but playing ukulele and doing street magic wasn’t good enough to generate the kind of revenue he needed. So Jess turned to the only game in town that could assure his friends health, at first jess was but a lowly thief pleading for help at the door, but after several years as a go-fer, he was allowed into the family despite his lack of skill.

(hopefully that's good enough, Yeah it's still a tad implausible and I haven't given up the clothing, but at least now his circumstances coincide with his outfit)

but in order to render this moot, lets just say I wear my business clothes most of the time, or at the very least when I am with the beltanes.

as for my role, well can't an errand boy aspire, I mean my character is fairly young, so maybe he can be something of an apprentice to most of you, not to say that you are deliberately teaching him, but youth has potential in that he still has time to learn useful skills.

Yes, that works for a background Abolin. Also, good to see the prototype, MQuinny, looking forward to you filling it out.

Abolin, you might wait for Burn to verify this, but my understanding is that we're all still in the same building. We moved out of the actual theater section, but now we're in some sort of foyer, where all the food and alcohol are. Only Henry and Harold are outside now. Actually, depending on how many entrances there are to this place, Jess might have had to have seen Henry to get inside.

I considered that, but he also said that they went to where they were no longer visible, plus they didn't stumble into my dog so I also considered the fact that they may have used another exit.

but yeah i just edited my post to say, he went inside to visit the bar.

Some clarification:

The Family are not supposed to be strangers to each other. They are just supposed to keep Family business hush-hush. To the rest of the world, they'd seem to know each other as workers within the Beltane Foundation. They can talk with one another openly and such, the clause of secrecy only applies to matters pertaining to the Family's operations.

That's good to know and it still applies to my current post.

MQuinny, I must say, though your character will fit well as an NPC or a villain for us to fight, there doesn't seem to be any indication that he's even IN Winter District, let alone the Beltane Family. Is this what you intended?

Okay, a couple of things. Do you intend for him to join the party?

2) Could you please narrow down some of the talents. Having a 5 in Maths would mean that all conceivable math is something he could do. Languages 3 is also too broad, as it would apply to any language being spoken, human or not. Apart from that he looks fine.

This is sssssooooooooooo weird to read if you didn't read the paragraph above it. Which I didn't (I did later).

I'm still feeling like I should join this, but I'm still not sure on the character.

My advice would be to create a fairly stock character at first then. That way you can play as this character while you get an idea for a better character.

@Abolin, Grammatically, there was nothing wrong with you sentence. One may interpret it differently, if they did not read what led up to it.

Also, I edited the error of assuming we were acting as strangers. Sorry.

I think it not about the point's, It's more about the category. Math and languages are a tab ambiguous. I think he was trying to tell you to pick a specific language, same goes for math I.e. less broad, like geometry or calculus formulas.
