These bots are the terminator. They are learning to sometimes not even sound like bots. There was a bot in the Lit forum for like 3 weeks before a mod finally picked up that it was actually a bot.

From minor nuisances to thread necro-ers to cleverly hidden spambots these things are annoying as all hell. I wish there was a 'Mutually assured destruction' button I could just press to nuke a thread and send it to hell preventing the bots from spreading.

Or a captcha system

Well Captcha system 3... or 4... whichever one 4chan has right now is actually kind of advanced.

It doesn't need to be 100% accurate. And it sometimes even allows letters that look like other letters to be accepted. Like pressing Lower case L, Upper case i or the number 1 would all be correct.

And based on the length of the chosen Captcha, you are even allowed to mess it up. I sometimes do it on purpose. Intentionally getting the last 2 letters wrong and it still being accepted.

It's a really good system, and I don't know why people complain about it.
