So Dexter,Bubbles, Monkey, possible Coop ripping off the roof to center, and XJ9 slowly losing power and the rift closing meaning no escape for the large number of cluster, can you say computer virus. Dr. X probably set this up as a way to get what he wants and to get rid off friendemies that are in his way all he really had to do is fix the device on XJ9 to infect anything going through it with a virus that cuases self destruction at his command and XJ9 also has a self destruct feature, Wakeman said so in the episode where XJ9's body was under the control of the cluster.

It is the only thing that makes sense becuase if you are unaware Dr. X would like to keep his identity as well as any plans a secret plus most of the low level cluster are dumber than a board and it is obvicously a hive mind meaning that if any one of them gets cuaght the data it has of where it got the information would be exposed and being a portal connected to XJ9 Dr. X could easily explian to Sam and the cluster generals that it was a defense that Wakeman came up with to prevent this very outcome of Jenny becoming a portal. The episode I was talking about happened after the sky patrol was introduced and Wakeman explianed that every robot she has created has a self destruct feature, aka a destruct code that when input either by Wakeman or said robot will cuase it's destruction to prevent it from becoming like the protector she built for the sky patrol.
