i like to be generous with my words.
she asked for it traditionally actually, it was my own choice to want to do it digitally, in fact i plan to in the future. i just uploaded it traditional for now so she knows that i have drawn it and haven't forgotten about the trade, im hoping that she'll be pleased with the actual art, whether it be traditional or otherwise
i never said this was the final product.

since i haven't posted anything for awhile i thought i'd draw this collection of art
the last picture by me didn't get finished because of a bad internet connection so all the work was lost

If the anime has to do about sports wouldn't it be better to show her playing the sport instead of just holding a ball.
I understand it's harder for you to commit a longer period of time to something like that but it would be good practice in posing your characters.

random digtal art is quite random
long story short, i got bored suddenly drew a wild eye, which turned into 2, which truned into a partial face
basically practice with soft shading, eyes, and blur (lots and lots of BLUUUURRRR)
theres a bunch i hate about this pic, but i also think it was good practice for furture attempts at realistic art
also ignore those horrid eye lashes.......

When doing digital rendering be sure to take your time.
The things I see right away is that the your eyes are very angled and your eyebrows are in a odd shape.
You might want to look over some facial anatomy.
Something else would be to take some photos and use the for personal reference.
Something I do like is that you're expanding your horizons, although I would try drawing more in pencil until you can afford a tablet.
Until then draw from life and study your proportions.

i actually wanted the eyes to be slightly angled but i realize thats not very true to life and should be fixed
also, i see what you mean about the eyebrows, this was for practice with eyes and i actually never intended to draw the eyebrows
i think i may go over and completely redo themthanks for the advide i'll look into the facial anatomy and proportion stuff ^^
and yes its alot easier and looks better when i draw by pencil i suppose but hopefully i'll be able to afford a tablet someday because i like the way soft shaded digtal coloring looks over my colored pencils but one step at a time right?
