Its actually been out here for a few days, thanks to a little error in the release date...

BUT THE GAME IS FUCKING AWESOME, good lord I wouldn't even know where to begin. It looks great, it feels great and I got my ass handed to me big time by a Spriggan.
There's so much to see so little time, I MUST PLAY MORE

I play cracked, so for me its install and go. But I believe the game uses Steam to install itself, so you can probably play without a disc.
The game is only a baffling 5Gb... how they did it beats me, but it sure saved me precious download time!

@Arch: I haven't even fought a dragon yet, as soon as the game gave me full control I got distracted by shiny things on the horizon and I kinda got lost after that. Fuck Spriggans.

I'm trying to attune what kind of expectations I should come into this game with. Reviews aren't helpful, because Oblivion got a metacritic score of 94 even though that game was broken in so many ways.

Just keep restarting Steam.
It should work at some point.
Also you should've pre-loaded. It started like, 3 days ago.

I should have. I'm downloading at a paltry 150 kb/s so it won't be done until tonight. I just wasn't sure if I was going to buy directly from steam or from one of those online keystores to save some precious money. Turns out, they were sold out.

I think that's a sound problem, try adjusting the sound settings in the control pannel and set it to 44100Hz at 24bit.
