Ganon- I've also never really been a fan of the startingish Assault Rifles. Now seeing that the AN-94 is a weapon in this game (my FAVORITE gun in BFBC2 <333), I'm gonna have to play way more.

You just found out the AN-94 is in-game? You can pick one up in the SP mission "Between Rock and a Hard Place" from almost any of the Russian infantry. It's a BEAUTIFUL gun, I'm highly looking forward to getting it for MP because it is PERFECT for my game-play style. I'm a support player, so it'll help me sit behind my squad and provide suppressive fire and quickly switch to the M320 since it has an underslung rail.
In that vein, fuck the F2000 with a rusty knife.

I love the F2000, accurate, powerful and a good rate of fire. Still prefer the AEK-971 though, it feels more stable to me.

But honestly? Any weapon is good, as long as you can get a IRNV scope for it

It would be wise to skip this one... its painfully clear just how bad Dice is at making Singleplayer shooters. It feels like a heavily watered down Modern Warfare.

SP is good for one thing though: Weapon variety. Learn some of the guns/upgrades before you get them in MP.
Co-op is better for that though, honestly.

All guns appear obsolete when faced with enemy tank. Which is on every level...

That's why this is a team game. If you're in a squad of four, and there's no Engineer for example, it would be a prudent decision to spawn as Engineer in case hey, look, tank incoming. Teamwork is always the name of the game in Battlefield, nobody gives a fuck about your K/D score. If a tank kills you, spawn with a kit that can take it out, and always assume that nobody else on your team is going to do it - if someone does, all the power to your team; if nobody does, then you're a goddamn hero. Worse comes to worst, just run and hide.
Other than the Recon, all the classes can take out a tank with concentration and a little luck - Assault's M320 can take one out with enough ammo, Support has C4, Engineer has, of course, everything - RPG, AT Mine, Javelin, hell even the fucking blowtorch does good damage to vehicles if you're shit out of options. Recon is good for indirectly taking it out by laser-spotting with the SOFLAM to turn any tank into a death-trap if you've got an Engy with a Jav nearby, or a friendly tank with Guided Shells, amongst other things.

I opt for rolling the medic, I've noticed how often people around me get killed and figured the defib unit would do me wonders. it has.

ENGINEERS. EVERYWHERE. Seriously, everybody seems to be playing the Engineer.
Makes it easy for me to score points as Support.

Everyone plays Engy because the AA rockets are OP. You can tell if a chopper pilot is god if they have many upgrades. I'm closing in on the Guided Missiles for the gunner seat, like what you use in Co-op. Probably won't use it much, I'm a better pilot than ost players I've seen.

Looking ahead, now that MW3 is out, a lot of the bads are going to leave. I look forward to it.

But I am feeling bad for this!
I was hoping like hours and hours(or even more than one day) of playing like I did in Modern Warfare 2(It's silly to compare BT with CoD but still!).

The game is good, really realistic and stuff but it didn't give me so much... "impact" than Modern Warfare 2 did in the campaign.

I will yet invite some friends and see how BT3 is in Multiplayer and in Co-op.

And, Modern Warfare 3, do not disappoint me.

No but really, yeah, nobody buys a Battlefield game for the campaign. I thought the campaign was pretty decent overall, but I bought the game for Multiplayer. I only played the SP campaign on day one because I was having severe Punkbuster issues and couldn't find a non-PB server.

F2000 = best assault gun
I got 400 kills with it in one day when I unlocked it.

Has anyone taken to MAV roadkilling?
Sometimes all I do is play Conquest on Operation Metro, use the MAV, and fly around running into people and killing them.
My record is 20-1, which beat my previous 18-1 record.
Shit is so much fun.

The MAV is probably the most hilarious/deadly weapon on this game... once I actually managed to kill someone with their own stinger missile XD

It didn't give me credit for the kill, but still an accomplishment none the less...

Also I just love how far away you can snipe people... my longest headshot at the moment is 869m ... I'll be gunning for that km
