I'm surprised it took me this long to figure this out, but I just noticed that flash near her haunch. It means that her cutie mark just appeared right? So by receiving a rose it caused her to realize how beautiful and passionate roses are/can be. Thus Rose's love of roses was born and her cutie mark symbolizes that.
That's really brilliant, I like that very much!

Well, I'm definitely the wrong person to guess this. But I would guess no because there's only one picture right? But it might be considered a comic since there are words. I don't what is considered a standard Comic on DA so I definitely don't know for sure. Sorry I can't give you a better answer.

Part of me is second guessing myself and is claiming that I misinterpreted your question. I'm not sure what to make of that claim.

Hm. It's because while I was painting it in Photoshop, I was looking how it was going and it looks like a comic for me. So I don't know(when I finish it) if I should put "COMIC" or "ART" in the email when I send the final result to EqD.

It's better I send with both of titles and let Sethisto decide it.

Though I'm curious about why you wish to appeal to the germans, I see it how it can appeal to them but I am just curious as to why.

Sinistra-sundown said one time that he hated the german dub of the MLP show. Applejack hadn't her accent and Rainbow Dash's voice was too "girly" for her(I hope the same don't happens in Portuguese in November 21 :x).
And I always wanted to do an sketch of Vinyl with Octavia as friends.
So I found a good scene to make this tribute to the german people(trying to use my actual german), to Octavia and Vinyl and, as a bonus, to my father because he loves Bert Kaempfert. His musics are really good, the inspiration came with this one: Medley - Bert Kaempfert. He's amazing.
And I am thinking in an another scene with Octavia. I will work on it later.

Goddangit Griveous... I still don't get what the hell that's from but now that I see more details I am SO FREAKING CURIOUS. Everything I guess is still probably wrong, I am not sure if that's Luna or not and what the hell is that thing she's holding? Is it a photo?! What about that object makes her so sad?!
