Actually he recently stepped down as CEO of apple (probably because of his condition) so he's technically the former CEO of Apple at time of death.

I will inform you as a person who actually knows what the fuck he's talking about, Steve Jobs helped invent the computer as you know it today.

Not just the laptops and the iPhones, but fucking ALL COMPUTERS can trace their origin back to Steve Jobs saying "Oh hey, why don't we include a MOUSE (that thing where your right hand goes when its not clutching your shriveled dick), a GRAPHICAL USER INTERFACE (that thing where the pretty lights on your screen happen) and a billion other fucking doohickeys like word editors worth giving a damn."

Steve Jobs came up with all of that and Bill Gates (and a million other programmers) copied those ideas.

Bill Gates has acknowledged this, he knows this, he accepts this. He doesn't give a shit cause he's rich as balls. But Bill Gates knows where credit is due. It isn't an issue of PC vs Mac, FUCKING STEVE JOB MADE MODERN COMPUTERS HAPPEN.

To be fair, I doubt Jobs would've stepped down if it weren't for his health problems, so Sentios isn't totally off the mark.

That said, since he's going to be replaced in a blink of an eye, I doubt there will be much of a difference, except the new CEO is unlikely to have done any sort of pioneering work or early establishment of the company, so that guy would arguably be more of dirtbag than Jobs.

That said, a lot of people credit him with getting Apple out of its rut, but wasn't he the guy that got it into that position in the first place?

Shame he died, but he had pancreatic cancer, even if you heal that, chances of it coming back are very high.

So ever since 2004, he knew he didn't have much time left and any year could be his last.

He made a fortune and made a pretty big impact on the entire world, that's a very nice life all in all.

Not sure if trolling. Jobs specialty was marketing, not invention. He did have some involvement in development, more specifically packaging many inventions together, but he was one of many, many people working on the developments that got us to where we stand today.

He was already replaced. In January he was granted a medical leave of absence and while that was happening, his right arm man Tim Cook was the physical embodiment of who was in charge (Jobs still told him what to do). But Jobs finally quit the business in August and he officially made Tim the new CEO.

Also, guess who wants to go to the funeral.

I credit Steve Jobs because more than just using the mouse and gui for one or two projects he was the one who made it an industry standard. His neck was on the line to try something crazy and different and produce an entire line of computers with all the features we take for granted today. Argue over who made the first mouse (god knows that can go on forever), but who gave the mouse the impact it has today? Undeniably, Steve Jobs.
