Shikins bandages had begun to wilt in the air slightly ever since Tos-Strue's reaction, he'd begun a slight downwards spiral of condemnation of himself, although he found it hard to believe that he'd apparently caused so much suffering. It was a plant, surely he would have realised after centuries of study, whether or not it was even capable of pain, but he'd never been looking for a theory like that, had he? Perhaps he's tried to fit facts to theories instead of theories to facts, damn...a good scientist shouldn't let himself be influenced by other's unproven beliefs. Maybe...maybe he should show her his garden and...see what should be done. His trains of thought were scattered though when one of his eyes turned to see what the most ornately decorated guard, probably the captain, and saw the robed man. The ends of his scarves immediately pulled in and slid under his clothes, one end wrapping around the inside of each limb and he grabbed his top hat, pushed it flat into itself and then with a flick of the wrist, hid it away. Now, he just looked like a tall man with an odd headdress, fixation for eyes and an aversion to light, as well as snappy fashion sense of course.

He started to tidy himself up obsessively as the guard talked. A walk would be nice. he said quietly, making sure to get at the side of the group away from Tos-Strue. Aren't Pandak's the currency? If I remember my history they were named after one of your previous leaders. I am interested in the wine question though, can we focus on that, I've never been able to get my hands on an authentic bottle. You guys can really let your wine age here..

-Spaceport: “The Road Ahead”-

Tos-Strue grew silent as the guard appeared to escort them to the Academy proper. She distanced herself from the group falling well to the rear. Occasionally she stole quick glances at Shikin but it amounted to nothing. All in all she was glad for the walk, and especially glad that they weren’t going to use the Transmat system. The plant woman gave the pad near the spaceport a wary glance as they left. She had yet to use one, and had no plans of doing so. Some days ago she had spent some time simply watching one. People went in and simply disappeared. Moments later, entirely different people walked out. Sometimes more people came out that what had gone in, and other times people didn’t come out for hours. Of course none of them remembered walking in only moments before being all different people at all or remembering having been different looking when she questioned them. Tos-Strue always remembered when she changed shape. It was all very confusing.

She later found of that the pads took people from one place to another in very short time. The people weren’t changed, or simply gone. They were just somewhere else, possibly a very long way away. “These people perhaps have no respect for a journey. They surround themselves with marvels and then build things that avoid large parts of their world. Why would they do that when there is just so much to see?” She thought to herself as they walked. The Gallifreyans were such a contradictory people.

[Ewaradiancidental] "The step forward."

Eward was not entirely happy that everyone had gone off and talked amongst themselves while ignoring his brilliant self but Eward did not care, he enjoyed the fact he could have a little thought time. Eward pulled out a handful of pieces of parts and wiring and began to tinker as best he could with his laser screwdriver, the pieces would dance and move of their own volition as the red light of the screwdriver engulfed them, they entwined and writhed around each other as if each piece was trying to find it's soulmate or something of that form. Eward smirked softly as he watched the pieces try to find something to make of themelves as his mind raced through the whole back catalogue of itemsthat they could actually make as well as trying to come up with something brand new. The arrival of the security guard Henzil however interrupted this partly, Eward followed along absent mindedly while still focussing on his little experimental project.

   Nisharahamin Lah Kashingmahalia, Nisha / Miahalia, Mia    - Gallifreyan Spaceport

Nisha almost let out a loud sigh when Captain Henzil of the Chancellery Guard introduced himself, it allowed a moment to take in all the things that had happened around her in just mere minutes after her arrival. Or had it been past an hour already? Gallifrey was known as home to the Lords of Times themselves and she did know how heavily being in their presence could affect her sense of time. Now that she thought of it, would she age with them or with her own timeline? If so, how long would a second here be on her own world? Moons? Turns? Forever?

The machinist took a deep, silent breath. She needed to calm herself from thinking too much, doing so would ruin her attention to things and from all her years of experience, doing so would bear many consequences. Calm down, she said to herself in mind as she began to walk along with the others. She was at the very back, walking at a steady pace behind one of the Time Lords of the group. What was his name again? Euwaar or something of the sort? She really needed to remember names more for the sake of her given title, and her objectives.

But no matter how she told herself to concentrate on things, she couldn't help but notice the Time Lord whose name would not come to mind's tinkery. The tool in his hand glowed with curious fluctuating energies and it intrigued her deepest curiosities. Before she knew it, she was already instinctively reaching for her EPIC with the temptation of analyzing what he was doing.

{On The Road Again}

Shiro looked forward as he walked with the group, glancing to Roy. The man seemed nervous with his question about weaponry for the walk toward the academy. The thought brought a bit of a chuckle from Shiro's mouth as he thought of all the various ways that he could answer for the guard. All of which easily explaining why the trek to their destination wouldn't, likely, be something to fret over. But then, Shiro reminded himself of the fact that different worlds can have different ideas to various subjects. So a good few ideas went down as likely to sound pompous and simply too matter-of-factly for his taste.

Okay... How to say that it... Ah, yes!

Shiro paced a bit faster, catching up near Roy while standing behind the man's right side. "Please, friend, no need to worry about danger here. I'm sure our escort could handle any wildlife that might live here. We shall be quite safe." Shiro's eyes slowly darted aside as he continued under his breath. "I would never let anyone come to harm."

Dayvan - Space Port

Dayvan mostly kept to the back of the group, enjoying the alien view. It was still a bit disorienting to walk around with such little gravity, it made his steps seem a bit comical and over-the-top. But he'd get used to that quickly enough. He was glad that they decided to walk, instead of using any form of transportation. This way he could get a little bit more acquainted with the local flora and fauna.

Noticing they were walking on sand, he bend down and scooped up a hand full, letting it rest in his palm for a short time. "Not bad, not bad at all, much more minerals than the sand back home." he thought while letting the sand sift through his fingers. This would easily keep him up and about.

The group hadn't stopped to wait for him, so he had to run a bit to catch up again. Which probably looked even more comical than him walking. He caught up with the plant lady, Tos-Strue, who had kept to the very back of the group so far. Plants were rare on Samum, only growing in the dark, damp underground caverns. So seeing such a green, colorful - not to mention living, sentient - plant was somewhat odd. In a good way of course.

He suddenly remembered something he had read a few years ago, while studying foreign biochemistry. Something about seasons and what it did to plants and the climate. Samum had no such thing as seasons. Just blistering hot days, and freezing cold nights. What were the common four seasons again? Winter, spring, summer and fall, right? But what they meant or in what order they came, he could not remember. It did feel a bit chilly here, was it the cold season? Or is this just the average temperature here? He turned to Tos "Miss Tos-Strue, you wouldn't happen to know what season it is?" immediately realizing this was a stupid question. First off it was perhaps a bit racist to expect the plant lady to know what season it is. Secondly, she was an alien herself. And thirdly, what if she wasn't familiar with seasons herself? What if her planet didn't even name them? "I eeuhm... I mean, if you know of course. I'm not implying that just because you're a plant, you should know. I mean... eeeuhm... Sorry. I'll just keep quiet now." He fixated his eyes straight forward, cursing himself from the inside. Why didn't he ask this to the guard? He was there for questions after all. "Nice day for a walk, wouldn't you say?" He tried awkwardly, still not looking at Tos, hoping that it would disarm the situation.

-Walking: “Tis The Season”-

Tos-Strue cocked her head at Dayvan having been stirred from her thoughts. He had asked a simple enough question. She knew much in the way of seasons and climate. The Gallifreyans had words for them like ‘spring’ and ‘summer’. Here though they were used more for the keeping of time than anything else. Tos-Strue knew them better by what they represented. Spring was the time of sprouts and growth, summer the time of life, fall of falling leaves and rest and storing, and winter the time of death and cold and dark and waiting. Each season flowed endlessly into one another in a constant cycle of life death and rebirth. Of course there were other seasons in different places in different climates, but the sacred four stood eternal. At least in most places they did. Gallifrey seemed only to have the ‘other’ seasons. It was odd, but not terribly unusual.

Tos-Strue opened her mouth to answer but was taken aback but Dayvan’s behavior. “Why is the star man so worried about asking a question? Is it possible that the simple act of requesting knowledge can cause discomfort, insult?” This was worrying although she had not experienced such a reaction. She had asked many questions of many people before they pointed her to the local library. Many were happy to answer while some simply ignored her requests. Perhaps it was because he was from a place much different than Gallifrey. Even odder, he proclaimed to make an effort at silence only to speak up again moments later. Tos-Strue was very confused but decided to answer the question anyway. He should not be afraid to ask questions. She would gladly tell him whatever he wishes to know to the best of her knowledge. “This one knows the season.” She began simply trying out another smile happy to answer. She managed it rather well. “It is the time of wet, of rain.” She paused for momentarily, thinking about her answer. “Or perhaps only a little more rain. The seasons are not very different here but this one can tell.” She finished hoping the answer was satisfactory. “It is a good day for a walk.” She added brightly. “Every day has been good to walk.”

{Roy}

_Walking_ And the Oscar goes to...Someone else_

" I imagine he can." Roy said as he agreed with the man who caught with him. " Its just, I'm not like everyone here and from my suspicions, I think, I have more to worry about than just the wildlife." He added as he turned around to face the other man. Walking backwards, Roy extended a hand over to Shiro as he introduced himself to the man and asked for his name " My name is Roy Everydayman, and I'm sorry, I didn't catch yours sir?" All with a smile and a friendly attitude.

" And I apologize in advance, its just on this planet I was on, there was these squid like things in tin cans." Roy started to explain his situation to the other man. He had to be careful through on what he was going to tell to the other man, and not just him, but everyone that was listening in. Every single one, Roy figured they were clever in some shape or form and he wants to see that first, before any one else figures he isn't as meek as he pretends to be. " Such horrifying creatures, they nearly destroyed everything with their blasters until another vile monster started to hunt them. It was awful, the shrieks and the chaos." Roy went on to say. He placed a hand over his stomach and hunched as he looked positively devastated.

" So yeah, I have my reasons for wanting to be armed at all times. I know it wouldn't be always useful, but it will bring me comfort, even if its small." He said.

The Captain laughed awkwardly at Roy’s comment about weapons. “Of course not sir,” Henzil replied as they walked. “But there is no need for concern” he nodded acknowledgement at Shiro before continuing to address Roy, “All members of the Chancellery Guard based in and around the Capitol have been in service on Gallifrey for at least 200 years, and all are fully trained and prepared for any possible threat to security. Crime rates are comparatively low here on Gallifrey and the more dangerous forms of flora and fauna tend to stay away from the Capitol and other Time Lord settlements.”

Henzil glanced at Roy grimly. “Ah yes, from your description, that would most likely be the Daleks. My post has always been on Gallifrey itself, so I’m not fully up to date with Galactic affairs, but I do know the Dalek Empire has been causing Gallifrey and the other Temporal Powers a lot of grief in recent years...There was an unfortunate incident some decades back involving the Daleks and this planet. I’m not aware of the particular situation you speak of, and I must say it is...curious, but I can understand your concerns. There are some rather hostile elements out there in the universe. Which is why our security on Gallifrey has been tighter than ever. The Lady President, the Castellans and the Celestial Intervention Agency have insisted. ”

“But it is for matters of security that the Academy does have a anti-weapon policy, as does the majority of Gallifrey. Only members of authority are permitted to carry weapons, to ensure Gallifreyan security. But rest assured you are all quite safe, sir. My orders are to defend you all with each of my remaining regenerations, in the unlikely event that your lives should be threatened before we reach our destination. Aside from the fact you would be breaking the law by possessing a weapon, weapons should not be needed by members of the public. That is what the Chancellery Guard are here for: to protect the people and to ensure everyone’s safety.”

To the query of currency, Henzil nodded. “Pandaks are indeed the currency here on Gallifrey,” the Captain replied, confirming Shikin’s response. “Named after one of our forefathers, Pandak the First. He was one of the six Founders of Time Lord society...not one of the most famous, but still largely important. As for acquiring money, any you currently have can be exchanged at the exchange office on the upper levels of the Capitol. In addition I believe you may be able to get a student bursary or loan from the Academy; you will need to consult the Academy’s financial support office about the details; I’m afraid I’m not well versed on that matter.”

The Academy was getting closer now. It stood on top of a rocky platform; the dome surrounding it was so large from this proximity that the apex of it could no longer be seen. Inside, the ancient stone spires and towers gleamed an orangey gold against the glow of the suns. It was a great architectural masterpiece; majestic and medieval in appearance, but with an almost futuristic radiance about it, as if it had been torn straight out from a sci-fi fantasy book. A path zigzagged up the outcrop of rocks ahead of them and led to a stone gateway along the walls of the dome. It was to this gateway that Captain Henzil was leading them.

Despite his professional manner, Henzil almost laughed at Roy’s question of wine. “I have met Lady Rodan on the odd occasion, although I do not know her well. But she’s right. One of the things us Gallifreyans pride ourselves on is our fine wine,” Henzil replied. “Should you go to any highly reputable bar, retailer or restaurant in the Capitol, you should be able to find what you’re looking for in terms of good wine. Of course if you want my recommendation, Rassilon’s Wine Merchants in the upper north-west sector of the Capitol is certainly worth looking into, provided the prices don’t scare you off,” Henzil nodded with a wide smile.

Henzil’s professional attitude was back in an instant however, when he spotted movement from the silver leaves of a near-by tree. A hand was on his pistol in a flash. “Who goes there?” he called out, “I am a Captain of the Chancellery Guard and I am armed; I request that you show yourself immediately.”

“Oh Rassilon, please don’t arrest me Captain, it’s my first day and I’m not doing anything illegal, honest!” a clearly harmless voice called out from the tree. A young woman with long ginger hair poked out her head from the cover of the leaves.

Henzil relaxed, letting out a weary sigh. He tapped the communications device of his wrist, speaking into it. “This is Captain Henzil – I’ve located the missing student safe and well. Will escort her to the Academy, Henzil out.”

The Chancellery Guard Captain then addressed the girl in the tree, displeased. “Lucidameritidianthus of the Patrexean Chapter, I presume? Commander Janartis reported you missing just two micro-spans ago. Students are supposed to be escorted to the Academy and to remain with their designated escorts until they reach the Academy grounds – why are you out here on your own?”

“Becauuuse...well Sir, I was following my group you see, but then I had to follow my cat.”

Henzil raised an eyebrow.

The Gallifreyan woman sighed. “My cat saw something important in this tree and decided to climb it. So I climbed the tree when he wouldn’t come back down. In fact, he’s still refusing to come down. I couldn’t simply leave him out here, Captain. That would have been terribly irresponsible of me.”

“And you didn’t think to ask a guard to help you?”

“Well you see, Captain, that’s the thing, Snug – my cat – he doesn’t like guards,” Lucid explained. She said it with such a straight face it was hard to tell if she was serious or whether she was just messing with him.

Henzil’s patience was certainly beginning to be tested. “Well can you please fetch your cat down as quickly as possible so that I may escort you to the Academy? My duty is to ensure the safety of all students – I can not leave you on your own, and if we have to wait for you out here much longer, you and your new classmates will be late.”

{The Lonesome Trail}

Shiro watched closely as the girl emerged from the bushes. His mind began revving up. The unnatural enhancements to his mind started to process the information, trying to recall what micro-spans were. It found that it had only heard the terminology in rudimentary passing and then began working faster, trying to discern the meaning by cross examining the two halves of the word with its understanding of time within the Gallifreyan homeworld. Carefully calculating every minute chance of each possible meaning being correct. Occuring almost instantly after the captain had used the term...

But then the girl's mention of a cat just completely fried Shiro's logic processing.

"KITTY!"

Shiro vanished as a strong gust of air blew past the captain, in front of the girl, and nearly knocking over anyone near where Shiro had stood before the man could be spotted near the tree the cat in question was trapped upon. He lifted his arms up with a wide smile and began flexing his hands. Making 'grabby hand' gestures toward the cat, he started bouncing on his feet. His overly cheerful attitude toward how cute the situation was, however, distracted him enough to forget about his natural abilities. Shiro's bouncing was easily putting him twelve feet off the ground. And the happy smile on his face showed he had nooooo idea he was even doing this, or even trying.

Shikin sighed as he took off his blazer/jacket and folded it over his arm as he walked towards Shiro and the tree. You get ready to catch him while I flush him out. Shikin said as he put his blazer beside the trunk of the tree and reached up to grab a branch, long slender fingers wrapping around them and effortlessly pulling up his light frame, his spidery frame swayed as his feet hit the tree and then with that grip, he pulled his arms out and up so his upper body was in the tree and only his legs could be seen beneath all the silvery leaves, they kicked wildly for a moment in the air and then disappeared also as Shikin reached out for another branch and got up into it. He'd been wearing 2 t-shirts, a thermal, a thin jumper, a sweater and a white shirt underneath his blazer to make his body seem more human due to the fact he was as thin as a skeleton but even with that on he still looked anorexic underneath the shirt. He certainly wouldn't be able to pass as human to other humans now, humans of his stature wouldn't be able to stand under their own weight, and certainly wouldn't be as strong as him, although that didn't really matter here.

Amongst the sliver leaves, his black trousers could be seen clearly moving amongst them as he ruffled around. What type of cat am I looking for anyway? Black, white, grey, tabby, tortoiseshell? He asked as he gave one of the thicker branches a good shake, causing leaves to fall down on Shiro. Shikin liked cats, easy to take care of, easy to understand, slight magical aura and history, speaking of which, why hadn't he just flown up instead of climbing up like some after-hours dad tring to get a football for his kid, seriously, he even looked like he's just gotten back from the office. Oh yeah, planet fill of rhabdophobes. he muttered under his breath, as he pushed at another branch above Shiro with his foot.

{Timber!}

Shiro's eyes glazed over as a thin shine lit up his pupils. Like a burning comet, it roared with life the longer Shiro stared up at the tree and reached out for the cat. Slowly, he repeated the word Kitty over and over under his breath. A bright gleam burst forth from his eyes as leaves began to fall. Something in the back of Shiro's mind was stirring... His instincts were burning hot, telling his body what to do by sheer excitement. But this... The thing in the back of his mind would have none of it. It roared with primal fury that swirled with the excitement. Shiro's brow lowered into a wild glare while his mouth smiled wide and he continued repeating that single word.

Shiro's fingers kept flexing, moving in and out of his hands. But the rage in his mind moved his wrist and hands, forcing the fingers to become like the blades of multiple daggers, easily slicing apart every leaf before it could get within half a foot of Shiro. He kept bouncing into the air, but his fury erupted while in the air, his feet calmly and quickly striking at key spots along the tree's trunk. Then, finally, the deep anger pushed out enough to take over movements. Shiro, still smiling wide -- eyes shining with a warm innocence -- kicked straight at the tree's base. "KITTY!" The trunk began splintering and blowing apart at dozens of locations where Shiro had previously struck. It began falling forward, looming close to the trail and the rest of the group. Shiro flipped backwards, kicking and running up the trunk while repeatedly pushing off the ground with his hands. He kept kicking lightly, only using enough strength that he was moving the tree while at an angle, never letting it touch the ground until it was nowhere near enough to touch someone else in the group.

The tree was finally dropped to the ground with a thud. Gravity never had enough pull to make its fall even remotely violent. Shiro was gone again and soon the highest branches burst apart as something flashed through them and back out. Shiro skidded to a stop upon the trail, eyes closed, eyebrows still lowered into a maddened expression while he smiled happily, holding the cat in his right arm while his left hand scratched behind its ears. He only ever repeated that one word while his bangs were springing loose from his hairband and lifting from his scalp...

"Kittyyyyyy~"

There Shikin was, calmly shaking the branches as he tried to flush the cat out, just trying to be nice and helpful, no idea what was about to happen, at least not until it happened. A foot slipped when Shiro hit the tree the first time, the only reason Shikin didn't fall right through was because he'd managed to hold his grip on the branch he was shaking, although when he'd jolted forward and seen through the leaves at what Shiro was then, the branch splintered in his hand. What the fuck are you doing? He bellowed angrily, the sheer rage and exasperation could be clearly heard in his plaintive cry as he saw Shiro kick the final nail into the trees coffin. WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING? He repeated again, the confusion and frustation more promieant in this echoing wail as Shiro started kicking the tree to the side too.

WHY? He asked, crying out mournfully once more before leaping out of the tree before it hit the ground, bursting from the silver leaves and causing a small explosion of silver behind him as he flew out of it like Superman. His face looking forward, his black legs straight, his shirt tails flickering untidily out in the air after having escaped his trousers and his arms in front of him, palms face down. He kept going straight through the air, looking pretty awesome too up until he began to lose acceleration and noticably started falling. Anddddd why aren't I flying higher and doing a loop the loop around them? Oh right, no magic, especially right in front of the captain, now...how was this done again? He kept his body perfectly horizontal until he was just above the ground before he slapped his hands down, digging his fingers into the ground, the momentum in his lower body caused his legs to fly up over his upper body and he somersaulted forward, letting his fingers slip out of the holes they'd created and a few seconds later, stopped himself right in front of Tos-Strue by slapping his hands down on the ground again, rocking forward slightly as he sat on his haunches. He quickly straighted right up in front of her and half nodded, half bowed to her respectively. Sorry Miss. he said quickly, pivoting around on a heel to stride off, he still wanted to give her a chance to cool off in case she was still upset with him.

-Walking “Season of Violence”-

Tos-Strue continued to walk, basking in the warm glow of Gallifrey’s two suns. “Please, tell me of the place you hail from.” She asked Davyan who had grown quiet again. “This place is very different to where this one has been.” She looked skyward for a moment. “This one likes to know of the places and the peoples between the divide. This one has seen few in travel.” Tos-Strue seen many a world scattered as they were across the divide. Most were barren and lifeless. Few held life and even fewer possessed the ability to act beyond instinct alone. Gallifrey seemed a haven to those that did. The creatures of flesh and bone flocked here for the learning it seemed. She wished to know of the places from which the others had come, and what drew them here.

As they walked the rocky path through sparse land the academy itself appeared before them on a rocky plateau. Like with all of the architecture upon Gallifrey it filled her with a mix of wonder and repulsion. It was not the stone spires and buildings that stood out so much as the great clear dome that engulfed the whole of it. Tos-Strue perhaps understood the Gallifreyan’s need to isolate themselves from the natural cycles that brought them up. Many a small creature lived in burrows under the ground or constructed a nest for protection. They were such fragile things. If there was one admirable thing about them though, it was the lengths they would go to cling on to life, even if that meant ending the lives of others including their own.

Tos-Strue’s thoughts were interrupted by shouting from the guard that had been escorting them. Someone had been separated from the group, looking for a cat. What a cat was Tos-Strue did not know but it must be important to the girl. Several moved towards the tree in which the ‘cat’ in question was hiding. Someone who she did not know was bouncing up and down trying to get at it while Shikin ascended the trunk in order to collect the thing. It would have been a simple enough task to lower the cat down. In fact Tos-Strue was beginning to reach out to the tree to do so when the first wave of intense phantom pain hit. For a brief moment before the connection broke its pain was hers. She staggered. All she could see was Shiro’s hands piercing the tree in a thousand different places. She didn’t even register Shikin’s apology. Tos-Strue started right past him as Shiro kicked the tree. It fell to the ground, landing with a thud. Anyone with sensitive enough hearing would be bombarded by a frantic cacophony of sound.

The petals forming Tos-Strue’s ‘robe’ flushed from blue to white. Even the color from her face seemed to drain away. The air began to permeate all at once with the smell of ash and oil. It wasn’t as if Tos-Strue hadn’t seen death before. Death was as inevitable as the cycle of the seasons. A great many things could kill. This however was not nature’s wrath, nor was it the flesh creature acting towards its own survival. It was… It was… she did not know what this was. She could not decipher Shiro’s expression while he murdered another living thing. Right now at least, he was happy calm. Her heart ached.

Tos-Strue walked wordlessly over to Shiro and looked him in the eye. Her expression was indecipherable but her tone spoke to what her face would not. “You have killed it.” She stated simply. “Why did you kill it?”

-Jerry, picking up the pieces-

Jerry walked at the end of the group chatting with Gilbrid in German. After a while he looked at the people walking in front of him, and smirked. “Hmmm, I’m talking with someone from home again. Am I really that racist?” He pondered as the group stopped near the tree. Jerry stood on his toes and moved somewhat closer to hear, what’s going on. “A cat in a tree? Oh, give me a break.” He sighted and rubbed his forehead.
Then things went from silly to outright crazy. Jerry just stood there, watching in disbelief, jaw dropped to the floor. He instinctively jumped back and bumped into Taylor as the tree started to fall their way. And finally it was the big thud as the tree fell, and Shikin made his dive, like the protagonist of a B-class action flick.
The dust settled, and Shiro got the cat. The plant-girl was quite upset about the tree, just as expected. Jerry walked closer to the fallen tree to take a look at it, and spotted the piece of fabric under it. He reached down, and yanked the jacked from under the trunk, trying not to tear it.
What a bloody idiot.” Jerry muttered to himself, as he patted the dirty piece of clothing, producing clouds of dust. “You alright?” He asked Shikin and handed him his almost ruined jacket. “Nice jump by the way.

{Trail of Tears}

Shiro remained entirely oblivious to everything around him until Tos-Strue walked right up to him to confront him. His eyes finally blinked open, he glanced down to the cat, then glanced to the tree and Tos-Strue. Shiro's brow deeply furrowed upon realizing what he had done and sighed, placing the cat back down onto the ground. He knew that just apologizing didn't excuse how he'd acted. And it definitely wouldn't take away the damage he had done.

The man walked over toward the tree and knelt down to examine the trunk, brushing his fingers over the bark in each spot his kicks had landed before. He knew a way that he could fix the problem. But it involved breaking a promise. I still seem to lack control... He stood back up and turned back to Tos-Strue. "I apologize to you and the tree... It is all I can do for it as I am now." He bowed his head, trying his best to show respect and regret for what he had done.

-Walking: “Season of Sorrow”-

Tos-Strue regarded Shiro for some moments. Her face was blank, betraying none of the emotion swelling within. Her tone of voice and swirling cloud of scent had done that for her. Without a word she stepped around the man and kneeled at the split in the tree where it had fallen. She ran a hand across the trunk of the tree feeling the texture of the bark and the numerous wounds that ran its length. “Shattered, splintered, fallen, dead.” She shook her head. The damage was too much the pain too great. The foliage knew the call, its song. It would grow, shape itself, come to her aide, but a healer Tos-Strue was not. The craft was not part of her calling. As much as she wished otherwise she could not help this one. She looked to Shiro once more over her shoulder. “Reckless, careless, thoughtless, violent, hateful.” She said, her voice betraying a mix of anger and regret. She turned back to the tree, stared at it with her unblinking eyes for just a moment longer before standing and returning to face Shiro. “None can revive the fallen. Dead is dead.” She said flatly. “Apology does not ease the pain.”

She lowered her head brushing past Shiro as she left him with naught but her words. He had at the very least expressed apology, perhaps regret. It did a little to ease her mind, but it still left her cautious, wary. Already two of those that were to join her at the academy had done things that were reprehensible. “This one was assured safety.” She thought to herself. “My silent brethren are beyond their assurances.” She had seen countless examples of them being eaten, plucked and sold, used as building material among countless other things, some more understandable than others. “They see them as nothing more than tools. They do not see life here, only something to be tamed and used.” It understanding this world and their people was proving to be more and more difficult by the moment. She walked through the group straight to the guard that has been escorting them this whole way. “Sir Captain, this one has a request if this one may make it. The fallen is of your world so this must ask. This one wishes to take the fallen one, to perform the rite of the dead if you will allow.”

Shikin took the jacket from Jerry and eyed it critically. You should have seen it with my effects. he said as he pulled the ragged coat back on. The threads immediately begin to writh and grow, replacing the lost fabric and moving into place, dust particles were flicked off as well as any other dirt until it looked brand new again. Tsk, it took ages for me to get it all old and comfortable looking. Shikin said as he rubbed at a sleeve, the rest of his clothes beginning to clense themselves of dirt too. He quickly tucked his shirt in and took a look at Jeremy. Oh yeah, thanks for the coat and for asking, I'm fine, nothing I couldn't handle. The name's Shikin by the way Jerry. Nice to meet you. He put a hand out as the white glove on it pushed out the stones and dirt he'd gotten in it during his landing. Looks like we'll be losing a member to the funeral. He added quietly, his face still looking at Jerry while two bandages peeked out of the bottom legs of his trousers to look around.

Dayvan

He was somewhat relieved when Tos-Strue asked him about his home planet, guess he hadn't botched it up completely. "I'm from Samum, a desert planet in the Silver sector. We're traders by heart and are the central trading hub in that sector and surrounding sectors." He said proud, only to realize that since Tos-Strue had never seen a Samum before, chances were high that her people didn't even trade, or be aware of the intergalactic map. "It's quite a beautiful place, but I don't think you'd want to visit it. The temperatures can shift from scorching hot during the days to freezing cold at nights." Which was why there were no plants on the surface, there had been attempts to bio-engineer plants that could survive those harsh conditions, but so far all projects had failed.

Dayvan felt somewhat antsy when the conversation at the front of the group switched to the Daleks. His whole reason being here, was because the queen wanted a failsafe for her war effort towards the Daleks. But if even the Timelords themselves hadn't been able to defeat them, how was a trading race supposed to achieve that? Should he mention this to someone? Perhaps some high official could talk the queen out of this course of action? Then again, the queen had her own advisers. Surely they would have talked her out of it if it was a lost cause. And the Timelords didn't have Samum technology to back them up.

So Dayvan kept quiet until the whole deal with the cat happened. Were these people supposed to be his classmates? They seemed awfully dangerous. Such a beautiful tree, it's silvery leafs reminded him of home. He had actually never seen a plant so big for real before, only on datacubes. Their underground jungles were deathtraps after all. He squatted down next to the tree, letting his fingers run through the leafs. To his startling surprise he could actually feel a small current. Nothing monumental, it was barely there. But a current nonetheless. This tree is alive, or was alive. It would most likely wither in some time. He felt sorry for Tos-Strue, this was the second time she had been confronted by atrocities afflicted to plants by others.

He moved over to Shiro, to inspect the cause of all of this. This so called cat. He eyed the little furball cautiously. "So that's a cat?" he asked no one in particular "But you called it kitty, is that the word your people use?" He asked Shiro. How did the man get so excited over such a plain looking animal?

{Roy}

_ Not so much an average joe_

" What?" Roy said as he assumed he heard wrong about the entire planet having anti-weapon policy, but Henzil continued to talk about it. " What ?!" He exclaimed as it didn't seem like the guard was making a sarcastic remark. Roy moved a head of the guard and turned to face him as he then shouted "WHAT?!". Henzil was entirely serious and Roy knew that, he was just shocked at that news. Roy turned away from the others and placed his palm over his face for a minute or two. He reached out to the sky with hands and said " Give me a break." as if he was talking to the universe itself.

His composure returned, Roy faced the others specifically Henzil and asked " Well Hershel, I just have one final question where does one go on this planet to turn in said weapons?" His arms bent and his hands were open. " To be clear, I wasn't told about this policy so I had no way of knowing before hand." He went on to say. " Hmm, well there was evidence that suggested I had weapons, but I wasn't going to tell her anyways, even if she asked me." Roy said as he stroked his chin while he thought about this. " However, I don't want there to be problems for me here, since I need to talk to this particular time lord so you understand. I just hope all of my weapons are well taken care of, I would be very crossed if they weren't." He went on to say as he didn't like the idea of his weapons gathering dust or rusting inside a locked box.

Then suddenly, Roy's composure was lost again as he finally took notice of the antics of the other students. It all reminded me of his team, the more crazier and reckless members of his team to be precise. " Give me a break." Roy complained with a shake of his head as he marched over to the scene of destruction. " Tos-Strue, none of us, have that kind of connection you and your people have with nature." Roy said to Tos Strue as he approached her first. "I'm not saying what he did was right, there were plenty of other ways to handle this, and your right to be angry, but he was man enough to admit he was wrong. Not many, I've ever met can do that so I hope you do forgive."

" You, I'm glad you feel regret, but I hate to see what kind of devastation you'll cause when someone is in real danger." Roy said as he reprimanded Shiro." This wasn't much, but it has the potential to become a greater tragedy, I hope you seek control over yourself." He then turned away as he spoke his thoughts. " Kitty is just one word of many to describe that animal, for future reference." Roy mentioned as he walked passed the Dayvan who was asking a question. Not to him, but Roy was in one of his moods. " Why we do it, because we can and I assume the case is the same for his people." He lectured while he walked back to the guard leading the group. And as he walked, Roy also passed by Shikin and sarcastically remarked " Nice jump, by the way. I can assume there is a reason, right?" As the way, Shikin had "leaped" something about it reminded him of a magic certain swordsman with a giant sword, but really Roy was fishing.

Shikin's head jerked slightly, the eyes around his head focusing on Roy as he walked past, and fell into step beside him, a hand flicking a "peace" sign to Jerry as Shikin's way of saying "see yah." I'm not used to the gravity yet on this planet, I kinda expected a longer jump. he said, a simple lie to cover his back, which hopefully wouldn't be delved into. Quick question though, if she, Tos-Strue, was to kill a humanoid, do you think we should have just let her off? I'm not asking because I think we need to do anything, I'm just interested in starting up a conversation. he said, his hands moving to express his moods, like all performers of a stage, he had a tendacy to use his hands a lot when he spoke. I mean, do you think, that we should try to act in a way that doesn't cause conflict to any members of our group, or just obey this actual planet's laws? I suppose what I'm asking is, do you think it's okay for someone to choose their own sets of laws and morals over their hosts, although considering how you decided to ask about the no-weapon policy first, despite the fact, I assume, is that you're going to have to part with some weaponry, makes the answer slightly more obvious. he said, realising he'd just followed his train of though to his own answer.

-Walking: “Season of Mourning” –

Tos-Strue nodded with understanding. She understood the concept of trade. The transfer of one thing for another among individuals or groups The Sentrent did trade on occasion with other sentient species for seed and sapling albeit it didn’t happen very often. They had no need to trade amongst each other. You cannot trade that which is given freely of nature. The sky provided of sun and water, and the land gave of home and sustenance. These were not things that could be traded, and the Sentrent had little use for much else. “This one much desires to visit one day, as this one desires to visit any place of life. The cold nor the heat bother this one.” She said sounding more than a little eager. “This one’s world is a place of life and of calling. Even now this one can hear it, feel it. From forest to ocean, mountain to desert there is life. Species from many a world across the divide grow in competition, in balance. Like your world it is a place of beauty, of song.” There was almost a longing to Tos-Strue’s voice as she spoke of home. It had been long she had been there last.

Tos-Strue turned to Roy as he spoke. “No you do not.” She said bluntly. “This is why this one feels compelled to speak though this one should remain silent. Gallifrey is not this one’s place and this one has no say here. This one is here but to observe and to learn. On this walk this one has since observed impulse, violence and death.” She was silent for a moment. Forgiveness was a strange thing to be asking for the one whom had felled the tree. “Do you forgive the lightening, flood disease that takes life?” Tos-Strue asked quizzically, staring at Roy. “There is no forgiveness for death, only mourning, and a return to the soil. There is nothing more.”

{Hiking Trail}

Shiro slowly lifted his gaze upon hearing Dayvan's inquiry. He watched the man for a moment before he finally responded. "Not exactly... It's a term I've come across frequently which refers to felines. Typically, just a short form, and primarly used to comment upon a cat one finds cute, adorable, and/or somewhat in need of aid... Those are instances that I've seen it used, at least." He almost became distracted from the situation, his face lighting up a tad bit as his mind began working upon theorums and ideas of other uses and meanings behind the terminology.

But then Roy stepped forward, interjecting his opinion and reminding Shiro of just why he'd been feeling regretful in the first place. Shiro simply nodded to them both as his expression returned to its sorrowful state. His brow lowered, almost as if he was hoping to do his best to hide his eyes and just block out the scene of what he'd done without actually thinking. He then turned and began walking over to Lucid, holding out Snug for her to reclaim.

"I believe that he is unharmed..." He simply stated, hoping he hadn't caused the young lady any undue stress as he'd done already for some of the others.

{Roy}

" Seems like you could of flew if you wanted to, but you're probably right." Roy remarked, dropping the subject. Now wasn't the time for probing or investigating, at least that's what he figured. It could be as it is or not, it shouldn't matter now. The subject quickly changed as did the mood, questioning of crime and punishment of a certain individual and whether to follow one's own moral objection or follow the laws of the land. More and more was Roy reminded of his team. He felt like he was an actor stuck in the same play except on a different stage with a different cast.

" Hmmm, frankly speaking she doesn't seem like the type." Roy said as his answer to the bandage wrap man. " Only four people here are the type. Five if you want to count one of the timelords." Roy mentioned as he raised four fingers and then extended his thumb. " And as always it depends on the circumstance. If for self defense, then she would be in the right. For revenge, she would be in the wrong. " Roy then said and went on to say " However, the world, universe, isn't really that simple. Not just Black and White, but Grey and lots of it."

" Still I like to say depends on the circumstance, the reason behind the crime as my final answer." Roy said, making that his answer to Shikin's first question. As to the second question, Roy simply put " Now to your second question, I'll tell you this. I always decide for myself what is right and wrong, and which rules, I follow and choose to ignore " He spun around to face the other man and stopped in his tracks as Roy continued " Thing is, since the hosts invited me to play on their planet, it would be rude to not follow some of their house rules, and its really not a big deal." He then took his right hand and stuck out his index and middle finger and pointed at his head as he explained " Besides, the only thing I truly need is my wits. With just that, I'm invincible."

" Well death is eternal, but then again so is life. All things may return to the soil, but that doesn't mean new life won't rise from the same soil." Roy said to Tos-Strue. " Also forgiveness is to move on, to accept a mistake, to learn, and to grow, at least to me and its usually apart of the process for death, not always.'

Probably because of the superman pose. muttered Shikin, just adding it in. Four already seems like a worryingly large amount. he added, nodding along to the rest, but not at the black and white and grey part, that had never seemed quite correct either to him. If he'd had visible eyebrows, one of them would have been raised at Roy's little "invinvcible"comment, but he remained quiet. Let Roy prove it himself in the future. Life and death may be eternal, but, to most scientific knowledge, we are not. biting his tongue again. He started to flex his long finger by his sides, long slender digits tensing and curling routinely, he muttered under his breath and shook his right arm, a packet of Lime & Orange tic-tacs dropped out of his sleeve and into his palm. He popped the lid open, poured out a couple and raised them to his mouth, and then he paused. Crap. he said angrily, he was really feeling out of comfort on this planet so far. Tic-tacs? he asked, holding the packet into the air above him and looking around at the group.
