For those still doubting (such as me), here's a link from Yogcast
There's gonna be coop play later.

I'm so conflicted right now... I kinda want to get this, but I also want Space Marine D:

Dont be lame, Asmo. Get both. Although, funny story. I guess Dead Island was released as the developer version and not the retail version. A lot of people have been able to use the no clip mode right away by holding down Y.

I'm not made out of money, studies cost a lot

Meh, I'll pirate them both... neither of the multiplayer seems that engaging

Suppose that works, though the Dead Island multi is drop-in/drop-out

Yeah, but I've been looking at some gameplay footage and it doesn't look all that fun... not to mention that the reviews aren't all that good either
Still waiting for reviews for Space Marine, but I doubt the MP of that would be any fun

I spent 4 hours drowning zombies in the ocean instead of doing the FIRST. OBJECTIVE.

Yeah, I'm still dealing with the first objective too. Actually I'm trying to find that other guys wife, who must either be dead or sucked to the twilight zone, cause I swear I've been all over the whole resort area and still cant find the bitch.

I found her. Wasn't too hard. Also Lemme just say that the white Tiring Crowbar I found in the beginning of the game is still my best friend.

Just do the damn quests. You'll find her eventually.

Also, undead porn star.

Only annoying problem I have with the game is the save feature, was up till 4am this morning playing it, got to level 14 and had got    The huge armoured van.    and got it back to Sinamoi, I quit the game went to bed and fell asleep, woke up today started it up and found myself back in the previous chapter and had lost 10 levels.....I was pissed.

Eeeuhm... that seems very unlikely. It creates a checkpoint whenever you complete any objective.

The fun is kinda lost when you get into the city... even more when you get into the sewers. God I hate the sewers

I'm serious even with the checkpoints, I played till level 14 again last night quit the game normally (pressing start and then selecting quit) after reading some comments on the save feature and then I quit game normally on a PS3, come back to it few hours later and find I'm back to how I was after some good multiplayer co-op (Level 9).

What a bitch.
I joined a friend's game (They were in their mid-30s, I was at around 13) and it created an evil twin for my Xian.
Now I have one with barely any mods but at least have a few good weapons that I can use, and the other with shittons of good mods and no good weapons at all.

Also, I WANT THIS SO BAD.

Butchers were plenty in the jungle, but every time I see one, I was in a car and just ran that bastard over. Didn't have any problems with them even when I was a level 15 player in a level 30 game.
Rams however, are plenty in the city and prison where you don't get to use cars.

Faced a Butcher, Floater and half a dozen Infected runners all at once, it was a blood bath.....for me.

I was playing as logan, I got owned up the arse, lost like 5,000 from it.

Edit: Anyone read the book? I don't mean like the guide but an actual fiction book that you can get with it. I got it and have read it, it basically tells the story of the game but the interesting characters are actually interesting e.g Mother Helen, Sinamoi,    Mowen   ,    Dr. West   .

... What?

So yeah... Dead Island movie... Yay? More bad voice acting and silly shenanigans?
Zombie-horror game adaptation under way at Lionsgate; movie to focus on "human emotion, family ties, and nonlinear storytelling."

That doesn't sound like any Dead Island I've been playing
