Cartoons/comics and anything else in relation to this type flirt the line of realism in the fact that it is generally applied when it suits best, and removed to handle a varity of unexplainable things, such as magic, or science fiction methods. As such the art and design is modified to suit the change, and not look stupid. Do you know how stupid the page and Blossom would have looked if the glasses did not cover her face? Will you people just freaking accept that this is a damn comic when the artistic design can change at any time and is used to promote dramatic effects? There are far more useful things to discuss about the comic then "How did Blossom's dish-plate size eyes fit behind such tiny glasses?"
