When I read the title I thought "damn not another fan parody crap" but when my curiosity reach it peek I decided to watch it and I gotta say thats crazy awsome Its about time they made a sequel to the last air bender!

Who said it was going to be a parody you idiot? It was highly going to happen after some hints during the last few episodes.

What bugs me is the title. "Last Airbender"? Shouldn't it be "Avatar"?

Well, well, well, that's quite interesting.

Kusang, I believe it has something to do with the Avatar movie, just like how The Last Airbender movie didn't have the "Avatar" part. Since Avatar (the blue aliens one) got out first, and even the font was damn similar to Avatar:The Last Airbender, I believe they decided it would be best to cut off the "avatar" part to avoid confusion.

Avatar: LoA came first before that Avatar (the pocahontas one) was released. Besides, "The Last Airbender" title reminds of a sucky knock-off movie

Unfortunatley, James Cameron copyrighted the title before Viacom (I guess they didn't expect blue monkey porn to be that popular). But copyrighting the word "Avatar" is like copyrighting the word "The". Its not right.

Did you guys know it's either coming out November or next year and it takes place at 75 years into the future Everybody from the first generation has died (which is Aang and his friends) and the next generation comes

P.S. Numa if you read closely i said "I thought it was a fan parody" I never said it really was a fan parody "IDIOT!"

75 years and they've only gone one generation further. The average life expectancy of people in the Avatar world must be a lot longer than one would expect in our world at the same level of civilization (I know that King Bumi would have been something along the lines of 110 or so in the orginal series, but I always thought him the exception in life span, not the rule. I suppose it is also likey that the 75 year thing only applies to the innner circle of our main characters, most of whom wind up in positions of priviliege living "the good life" so they may have lived longer than the normal for people in the world).
A part of me actually wanted the series to occur even further along the time line than this is, for the simple reason that I am curious as to how the Airbender writers are going to adress what I see as a major plot snag. As of the orginal series, Aang is the last Airbender, all the others were exterminated. So exactly what is going to happen in three generations, when the next Avatar to be born is supposed to be another Air bender. The only possible Airbenders left are going to be any children that Aang had and not all of them, some will presumably not be benders at all, and others will be water benders (assuming it was Katara he actually ended up marrying) Fire benders and Earth benders (depending on whom thier children marry). So the pool of candidates will be rather limited.

Also, it was revealed that Korra will learn airbending from Aang and Katara's son... can't remember his name though.

I still can't get over the thought that if Aang had never frozen himself, Zuko would probably have been the next Avatar.

The order of the cycle goes Air>Water>Earth>Fire>Air. The next Avatar would've been from a Water tribe, just like Korra.

Think I read somehere Aang and katara had 3 kids, (one of these being the one to teach Korra Airbending), these 3 could have more kids, making air benders EXTREMELY rare, but not extinct.

Not really. The Fire Lord would just kill Zuko once it was revealed he is the Avatar. Since if Aang died there'd be no Airbenders for the cycle to continue.

She only managed to protect Zuko because she promised to kill Ozai's father, had Zuko been the Avatar, Ozai would just kill him anyway after she was banished.

How does one truely know that their the Avatar?

I know how Aang was chosen, but like, is it different for each Nation?

Yeah I think so, every nation has it's own way of telling who's the next avatar when they are born but I forgot.

No one knows who the next Avatar will be. They only know what nation. In the first season, forget which episode, Aang explained how they realized it was him. They don't know the person. If they knew the person, the Fire Nation would have just killed Aang, not the whole nation of people. :|
