Wow, it really has been a while since I've seen your work. You've started working towards realism.

It really shows. I can't wait to see how you apply that to other works.

Maybe pose with your own hand and make a guestimate? Since that part of the pic is really blackened.

You hove it somewhat harder.
All I have to do is worry about tone.
And texture.
And accidentally drawing it on a tilt.
And pressing to hard on the paper.
Then I have to throw away a drawing i'm 10 hours in.
I love traditional mediums.

It's real hard to find a middle ground from too soft and too hard for me. People say I go too soft, but if I go hard, things get messy.

Risk must be taken.
Build up layer so it will be smoother.
And make sure the paper is right for what you're drawing.

What paper do you use? Never been taught about different papers and their effects on art. Only able to use white copy paper.

Your materials make up your drawing.
The better the paper the more the graphite can stick to it.
That's how people can do stuff like this http://www.arminmersmann.com/Home_Page.php or this http://www.dzimirsky.com/works/works.html.
But they work on canvas.
And different papers can add different effects.
So try different ones and see what works for you.
http://www.artistcraftsman.com/index.ph ... 6thjiqghv1
Edit: Never use papers under 70lb.

I love how it's coming along :) I'm very much drawn to her eyes - they're so realistic!
