when it's a thread like this, who the fuck cares as long as it's on-topic?

I enjoy custard, only ever gotten it in frozen form at Culver's though.

What the fuck is custard? Wiki doesn't have a portuguese page about it.

Sometimes the english thing doesn't help me associate with the portuguese word.
If the word exists.

It's a thick yellowy creamy substance commonly used in deserts.

I worked at Culver's for a year and it was alright. I snuck cheese curds all the time. Delicious little buggers. Out the 3, I think I prefer straight ice cream. Especially from Paciguo.

Since I'm sharing it on Facebook, I guess I'll share this here too. It's my late grandma's cookie recipe.

Grandma Rosalina's cookie recipe

1 kg / 2.2 lbs (4 cups) of wheat flour.
1 cup of sugar. (can be less if wanted)
4 eggs.
4 tablespoons of margarine.
4 tablespoons of lard.
1 tea spoon of refined salt.
1 tea spoon of baking powder.

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
2. Melt the lard and margarine and set aside to cool.
3. Combine the sugar and eggs in a bowl.
4. In a seperate bowl, combine all dry ingredients.
5. Slowly add dry ingredients to the egg and sugar mixture
6. Add lard and margarine mixture
7. Mix until ingredients are well combined.
8. Shape cookies into desired shape.
9. Place cookies on a greased cookie sheet and place in preheated oven for 25 minutes. If cookies are not finished keep baking until done, checking every 5-7 minutes.

You, and Chocolate Hurricane, will probably be happy when I translate her ice-cream recipe then. Just you wait for more homemade gewdness.

I feel like sharing. If any of you guys visit Central America, get some pupusas. They're like discs of tortilla filled with a soft awesome type of cheese. They will fuck your shit up.

It's probably easier to search for the recipe online and make them yourself.

They're from El Salvador. Like I said, if you're in Central America. Try and cook them though. If I burned my fingers in various places, you will too.

Several.

http://simplyrecipes.com/recipes/fettuc ... age_sauce/
http://eatathomecooks.com/2011/05/28-mu ... o-try.html
http://thepauperedchef.com/2010/06/the- ... asket.html

I'd teach you guys a recipe too, but it's supposed to be exclusive to a region of Portugal. Don't know many people outta that region that know how to do it.
