The new season sucks worse then those two episodes.

Bit of a melodramatic ending they had in the lastest one.

Seems they're getting back at people complaining about this season, lol.
I LOL'd pretty hard.

Also, unrelated but not entirely unconnected, The Book of Mormon swept the Tony Awards last night. They also won big at the Drama Desk Awards previously. So, go Matt and Trey, taking the Broadway world by storm!

The album has been on sale digitally via Amazon for $1.99, and will be through today, I believe. That's an absolute steal, so get it while you can. It's hilarious.

i dunno if it's entirely them lampooning the critics
the conversation between randy and sharon seemed like allegory for a conversation between matt and trey
i mean, after 13 seasons, you could understand them getting a little bored of south park

Trey Parker said when he came to CMU that he wasn't expecting to do it beyond the first season. But he definitely won't be doing it when he's 50!

Thought this post deserved a quote here.

The way I interpret the episode is that the different characters represent a dissolving fan base. Stan’s mom represents the cynical fans who are saying the new season is sh#t and have lost all interest and have accepted this fact. Randy represents the fans who are still forcing themselves to watch the show even though they don’t actually enjoy it anymore so they are in denial. Kyle, Cartman, and Kenny are the fans who still genuinely enjoy the series while Stan represents the fans who are depressed because they want to continue to watch and enjoy it but are reluctantly losing interest.

The significance of the splitting of the different characters (like Stans parents and Stan and his friends) is that they represent the fans. I think matt and trey are asking the question without a supportive fan base can south park continue like it has.

Just one possible interpretation from my opinion. The only real option is to wait and see what happens to CC's beloved comedy

Yeah, my interest in the show has been fading over the last season, and I've only very intermittently watched the episodes of this new season. South Park seems to have run its course. It was hard to be creative and original for so long, so they just moved to lampooning current topics, but eventually their interest in that seems to have faded too.

I'd rather the show be ended than to continue on like some zombie husk.

Some of Stone and Parkers other work is pretty fucking weird, so I'm interested in where they'll go from South Park.
