The article in Gamepro on it looked good. And yeah, great trailer.

Never got to try the original Deus Ex. It was free on Gametap from a while, but not any more...

Niiiiice...

I love how it's earlier than the first so there's a focus on cool cybernetic enhancements rather than invisible, boring nanites.

We really should try not to get too excited until we see some actual gameplay, but the 'feel' seems very nice, at least.

I heard that the only reason they used those nanites in the original Deus Ex, was because of the trouble editing the models (nanites were cheaper because they werent visible)

never player the original, and only played the second one a little... but my PC couldnt really handle that game at the time, so I might actually reinstall that. Especially since I heard it had a pretty well story

It's story is quite good and elaborate, but also quite a bit... Eccentric. I dunno if you'd consider this a spoiler, but you should be prepared for the realization that pretty much every conspiracy ever is in the game.

Okay, update time

Beta has been leaked, this is the early iteration they send to the reviewers and supposedly already contains 1/3 of the game.

PM me for the links.
Note: You'll need a premium account at either Filesonic, Rapidshare, Megaupload, Filseserve or Duckload. I WILL NOT SEARCH FOR TORRENTS FOR YOU

While I am not an anti-piracy fanatic and will often pirate shitty games I'm curious about just to give it a try. They generally don't need to make a forum rule telling you not to do illegal things. I don't see forum rules telling you not to not to murder people, so next time you see me I'll have Coos Severed head riding on a train made of NIS characters.

Cant really compare that, since you cant kill someone through the internet. So unless a mod makes objection to this, the links are staying up.

Plus, it's a beta, not the full game. For me it was mostly a test to see if the game is going to live up to it's hype. And so far I'm gonna go with a yes. Graphically it's actually rather simple. Even with everything on it's highest it still doesn't look all that good (when comparing it to The Witcher 2 or Crysis 2). But my biggest gripe is Jensen's chin! IT'S SO DAMN POINTY! Seriously, he could poke someones eye out with that weapon.
Gameplay is fantastic though, controls feel smooth and the cover system works quite well.

Maybe YOU can't.
And I am fucking pumped for this game. I saw it played at PAX and I had a raging clue during the entire presentation.

Yo Asmo, I know you meant well, but it has been generally agreed that links that could get the site into legal trouble, even if the chance is small, will be removed.

I pirate a ton of stuff and I openly admit to it, but when I share such stuff I do it via PMs and e-mails. So please do the same. Don't use the forums(directly anyway) for it.

PMs are so bothersome when a lot of people want it, so I figured this was easier. You might want to discuss this with the other mods, on adding it to the global rules (especially since you say thats it's been generally agreed to)

Oh well, PMs it is. Although I doubt anybody here has premium accounts anyway.

Oh I do, and if I didn't have a backlog of games I would have downloaded the shit out of it and played it because I'm a hypocrite like that.

Hmmppfff.... minus points for forced boss battles... they're kinda impossible if you're playing the sneaky character and he has some kind of build in radar that always detects you (oh wait, I have that as well)
