You guys seen the new Mortal Kombat webseries too? They started last week on Machinima, and they're pretty good so far, although short. For anyone that saw the movie pitch for a realistic MK last year, it's based off that. Check em on youtube.

Game is really solid, story mode can get pretty hard even on Medium difficulty though. It seems like the AI can pull off moves a lot faster than you can, and in sequence too, where typically I feel a cooldown when I try to spam specials.

Still, just down the difficulty and you'll be fine, I got halfway through the game before changing it (I didn't get stuck though, it just started to get annoying). Haven't really tried the Online yet but there's nothing bad about the game.

I saw the first which had Kano Vs. Jax which was cool.

Edit: Just saw the second, they really are sticking to MK law here. Can't wait to see other characters.

It's still too damn complex. I prefer simple fighting games where the most complicated move is one ryu fireball. No more than that. Mostly combo and counter base. DOA and soul caliber games are my favorites.

So this covers 1 thru 3? I imagine that one run through story mode would be pretty short, unless they did something like Tekken 6 and made you fight every character.

Fighting game story modes are usually pretty quick. I think they are doing a ret-con using time travel telepathy, some weird doctor who shit.

I tried MK at a friend and we had good times with some 2v2s. Man, Raiden Sub-Zero combo is so gay.

Just keep trying, focus on a character you enjoy playing as or feel fluid with, that's why I keep bigging up Kung Lao because I both like him and I'm fluid in some of his moves. I'll switch to Kenshi when he's available however.
