Even the pre-reg pick ups can get pretty long.

Or you can do the early badge pick up.

Webcomics. Venue to meet net friends. Chance to pedo on teens.

Any of those are fairly valid reasons to go.

Also anime convention concerts. I am a big fan of convention concerts. 40-50 dollar ticket and usually cons have 2 concerts.
