Wrestlemania XXVII (Now incredibly .gif-heavy)

Wrestlemania XXVII (or 27 for you inbred hicks) fuckin' sucked

daniel bryan v sheamus got relegated to the pre-taping match? BULLSHIT
the rock was the "host" but appeared in the ring only twice and appeared in a few surprisingly funny backstage segments? BULLSHIT
no hbk interference in taker v hhh? BULLSHIT
cole v king going on longer than 3 minutes? BULLSHIT
alberto del rio's destiny is to curtain-jerk wrestlemania and lose? BULLSHIT
corre getting squashed? BULLSHIT
snooki being surprisingly athletic? heh
cody rhodes beating rey mysterio? good :)

and now, .GIFS:
snooki surprising everyone

I rather enjoyed Captain Mysterios costume.

Frisky Mae Young! Poor Rock. Was she the same one that flashed blinded an entire audience and many people at home? Or was that the other old chick they had her with?

Didn't watch, because I expected it to suck. Lo' and behold. I was curious about the Snooki match, sadly enough.

mae young is the one that gave birth to a hand
mae young is the only professional wrestler ever to have had a documented match in nine different decades
her first match was in 1939 and her latest in 2011

They bumped Danielson and Sheamus to a dark match, changed it to a lumberjack match, then they turned it into a battle royal just to bury those two even more. Way to shit over your best wrestler and best big man, Vince.

Of course HHH and Taker was match of the night, then it was Randy-Punk and Rey-Rhodes was a midcard gem.

They don't usually do interference on Taker matches during Wrestlmania.

I think it is in Undertakers contract to win Wrestlmania legitimately.

It would have made no sense for Taker to lose, Trips has nothing to gain from winning. If they were to ever have him job at Mania it should be to someone who isn't a top guy in the company. I did like the touch of Taker being the guy who is physically breaking down and still won't quit.

I'm hoping Sin Cara can at least be allowed to use some of his repertoire, but I get the feeling that he might be another Ultimo Dragon. Kong will be treated like every monster there, after squashing every person there and she will just job out to everyone that she beat two months prior.

And Riley's still doing that suitcase gimmick...

Had been rather excited when they made a cage match with Cena and Riley for whether Riley stays. That guy is just wasting space at this point. Didn't really think they'd go through with taking Riley from Miz's nipple, but they should have at least made some legit reason for keeping him as the frat boy sidekick. Really, all he seems to do is carry luggage and help distract opponents.

Miz can just have Cole do the latter.

Every heel needs a buttmonkey. Whether it's Nexus for Punk or the SES, Legacy for Randy Orton, Del Rio's announcer, the NWO b-team, Virgil for Ted DeBiase. I could rattle off dozens of other examples.

Guess I just find Riley more annoying than others for some reason, then. Cause none of those others ever seemed this useless.

Maybe it's whatever they keep in that case he carries around.

i like A-Ri cuz he looks like he should be miz's dad but he wears a varsity jacket
varsity's the right word, right? i dunno mucha americana
I'm hoping Sin Cara can at least be allowed to use some of his repertoire, but I get the feeling that he might be another Ultimo Dragon.
at a house show he wrestled primo and finished it with a top rope spanish fly and still used la mistica

although i'd heard ultimo dragon's stint was short because he and vince had worked out a deal. the only reason dragon was there was so he could have a match at wrestlemania, which he did and subsequently left soon after

Primo is a special case, he's not an original WWE product in training. It took Del Rio/Dos Caras Jr over a year to come to the main roster because he had to be retrained to WWEs style and they are reporting similar problems with Hunico/Incognito and Alex Kozlov/Peter Orlov. I am glad that they are at least keeping Sin Cara in a mask.

Some of it with Ultimo might have been to do Wrestlemania, but you have to admit that only about 5 guys could handle his style. At least WWE has been investing in better wrestlers and not just pushing monsters who get demoted after a title run.

Most wrestlers that enter the WWE have a 6 month to a year retraining and breaking in period. The only real exception to this was when ECW and then WCW collapsed there was a lot of available already seasoned talent available. Of course I remember a time when WCW was awesome and WWF (at the time) couldn't touch them.

So Taker won?
"Suddenly Frodo noticed that a strange-looking weather-beaten man, sitting in the shadows near the wall, was also listening intently to the hobbit-talk. He had a tall tankard in front of him, and was smoking a long-stemmed pipe curiously carved. His legs were stretched out before him, showing high boots of supple leather that fitted him well, but had seen much wear and were now caked with mud. A travel-stained cloak of heavy dark-green cloth was drawn close about him, and in spite of the heat of the room he wore a hood that overshadowed his face; but the gleam of his eyes could be seen as he watched the hobbits."

yes but he was clearly worse for wear at the end of the match
the story being told is that both the undertaker and HHH are at the ends of their careers and although undertaker is probably more broken down than HHH: at wrestlemania the undertaker is completely undefeatable

undertaker at wrestlemania is essentially the end-boss of wrestling in the WWE's eyes

I would have to go with
Undertaker vs Mankind Hell in a Cell Match (1998)

For plotline I'm old school. NWO Wolfpack storyline is my favourite, with sting repelling from the rafters and dropping a baseball bat beating every now and then dressed like the crow.
