Actually, it's a rendition of one of a group of robot baddies a user by the name of KainSword came up with, and Bleedman liked them enough to put them in as original Cluster (from My Life as a Teenage Robot) Elite characters.

though, because Kainsword is universally despised here for being a tool that we suspect may actually be a sad case of slow mental processes, it might end up that our bat friend (named Battus in the Forgotten, to stick with the Cluster "-us" theme) was indeed digimon based.

I agree. Monkeys are our closest relatives on this planet. They're awesome! And they helped bring about different well know characters in video gaming and anime. (Most notably: Saiyans from Dragonball Z and Sun Wukong the Monkey King from Warriors Orochi.)
