Why wouldnt there be heavy snipers? They'd be able to carry the heaviest of rifles, the stuff that could sink battle cruisers!

It's not that there CAN'T be sniper heavys. It's more of if that was your character's main skill then it's more likely that they'd be assigned a scout.

@Asmo: That's true, but the mobility on heavys is so god-awful that you'd have a terrible time getting them into position to take the shot.

EDIT:

@Tsuna: Oh, by the way, your SIREN's reference picture is the same as Kei's.

Why not just carry a portable gun turret then? >:3

You can if you're a heavy. That's the point. If a heavy wanted to they could literally carry 8 gatling guns at once. There's really not a limit there. Also remember that we can make our guns "disappear" through the use of DART and summon them back at any time. The point still remains that heavy SIRENs are not in the least bit mobile.

EDIT:

@Tsuna: Just a couple things before I start the official review with Erina.

1) You'll need to add more history. We'd like to get at the very least 2 well written paragraphs from everybody.

2) I'd like for you to go back over the profile and reword it a bit. You've got a lot of repetitive "She did" or "She is" back to back to back to back. Clean that up a bit. Once that's done Erina and I will go over the final changes with you.

I think people are making too much of the speeds. Since we're going to go on missions together, we'll probably be moving together as groups. I think the biggest difference among types is their battle strategies. In a nutshell: Scouts have to avoid fire, but they can since they're so fast. Heavys can't avoid jack shit, but they're so beefy that they don't need to.

Sniff sniff... Bubba, I is impressed. ;3 I didn't think you'd pick up on that.

I'll get right on that... Just read it and it is rather repetitive...

Oh and to answer the mobility thing... Snipers dont reposition as often as you think... find a critical area which has the most visibily, get coordinates and bam target annihilated think battleships... They cant reposition to land but can still hit hard at the enemy lines. I was going for more of long range support then sniper.

Fixed most would that be fine?

The thing is that they have to reposition to lower the chance that someone saw the muzzle flash.

Not really... in real life sniper teams actually stay pretty stationary.

Thing is, they're never alone. There's almost always a ground force to back them up, so even if their muzzle flash is seen, the enemy cant do anything about it because they'd have to wade through the other troops first.

Movies and games have pictured snipers as being lone wolves, but thats rarely the case.

It actually depends on the situation, scout teams are a bit far from help. The reason why a sniper team would also have to move is in fear of counter snipers.
But it's true they'd normally have ground forces to back them up.

Scout snipers travel light to continuously reposition and cover a large area but Im talking more army like sniper who carries a heavy sniper at the back of the battlefield taking shots in the battle, Only an anti-tank Sniper can take down a heavy, a muzzle flash is hard to spot when your in the midst and heat of combat, Continuous reposition is good but In some terms its best to stay in one area, And as long as you have an active spotter you can take out Sniper teams without worrying about counter-sniping.

Your logic is sound if you're thinking real life but this is a little different. For one, a scout SIREN would be able to carry a .50 caliber with anti-tank rounds. Secondly, while it's true snipers don't always have to move, they do have to be able to GET to the position. If that position is a hill top, a heavy is going to have a VERY hard time.

Ooh interesting... A character without a military background. That could lead to some very interesting situations

She aint got nothing on my BOOMSTICK!
I would also like to point out that my "Vector" pistol is also a machine pistol, like the Glock. I might draw some sketches of my guns if I ever find the time, might be fun.

And yes, I do predict catfights in the future... Because I dont think Ren likes the idea of fighting side by side with "science dweeps"

Hehehe. ^^ Well, Shar isn't an aggressive person anyway. I doubt she'd ever "challenge" someone.

My characters are always such delicate flowers. = = With weapons, that is.

*Sighs* And poor Viscont is stuck dealing with the both of them as in all likelihood they'll be deployed together as they're all scouts. Or are we all deployed at once (With the assault and heavy groups.)?

Project EPSILON is one functioning group. Heavys, Assaults, and Scouts are deployed together.

Also you're pretty much the only sniper, Iris, so you won't have much company.

Just as the way he likes it. Sadly he does have to keep his communication link open so if they fight he (along with the others) are stuck listening to them.
