I have seen times when it looks awesome, but not often, and it was a professional job.

Okay, I finally tried the demo... I'm pleased with what I've seen so far

the only thing that really bugs me are the atrocious animations, when you walk it looks like you're gliding and the attack animations dont flow that well together

Love the crossbow that dwarf has! it looks epic

Well, I'd hope the work that Bioware does is what people can consider "professional".

It'd be private modders doing it, not BIoware if that's what you're suggesting.

Shit, I have 3 days to complete awakening. Or just watch it on youtube or something. I heard there is a save-transfer thing in Dragon Age II. Anyone know if it has to be an awakening save?

There's a DA:O to DA2 transfer feature for saves in DA2, but it's only for specific events that went on in DA:O, nothing really main character related. Like Alistair being the king in DA:O, he'll show up as it in DA2, and the opposite if you didnt choose him to be king.

As for Awakening, I have no idea if they added anything from it, but they may have.

The DA wiki makes mention of importing for Origins, Awakening, Witch Hunt, and Golems of Amgarrak. Likely just information pertaining to the bigger decisions. If your Warden lived, if Alistair is made king, if certain characters lived. Though, with a character from Awakening being in the party for DA2, it'll likely transfer extra details about the character. (Technically, two characters, but they share one body now.)

Edit: Should also mention that there seems to be a problem with import data as you progress into DA2. Upon initial imports, the data seems fine. Players have begun reporting the history data and character references would change, using incorrect import history further into the game. Unsure if it's universal, but it seems to be occuring with PC and console copies alike.

I remember Origins had a glitch where Alistair ended up king, even though I wanted to let Anora rule by herself. Shit was wack. Alistair's MINE goddammit!

The reference to Zevran in the first scene made me laugh. He's such an awesome bastard.

Yeah, just got my copy today. Hoping the import thing isn't universal, but might as well expect it.

If I wasn't so hyped, I'd wait for the first patch to come out. I'm gonna be pissed if someone in-game goes all "Hey, remember the hero of Ferelden? Kinda a dick move to marry Anora and get crowned King".

Lots of mention about Loghain killing the Archdemon, too. And Connor being killed.

Edit: Plus the issues people've reported of it altering decisions you made in DA2, as well. Meaning some choices you made earlier would be changed later.

I was watching like "What you mean Zevran" then the assasin bit came up and was like "Ahhh".

Edit:WHAAAAAAAAAT?! Merrill Is played by Eve Myles?! And if you don't know that name go watch some Torchwood as she plays Gwen Cooper.
