Looks beautiful.
Lines and hatching are superb as always.
However, on the "Paul is Dead" thing,
there are some posing issues.
His feet and legs could technically be in that position,
but it would be terribly uncomfortable,
and his upper body would have to be twisted much more.
However the expressions in that character study are absolutely fantastic.

I love constructive criticism. Thank you luv! Yes… the legs are a bit of a failed experiment. I’ve gotten pretty good at anatomy, but not foreshortened or motion based anatomy so…yha…I’ll work on that.

More stuff from 'Paul is Dead'

Great character interaction! both in an artistic and story telling sense.

great figures! are you an aspiring artist?

*giggles* thank you. I’ve been overhauling my figure study and body development style so it’s nice to think it might be paying off.

And in a way I suppose I am- depends on what you mean by ‘aspiring’. In this context, I’m really more of an aspiring illustrator/ comic book artisan. My art is a bit of an animal of its own and I make a point not to crossbreed the two anymore.

Well good- to be honest the figures still feel a bit stilted to me. Maybe it’s the angle (or the lack there off). But hell I’ll take a story development complement any day of the week *huggles for chu*

As I have come to expect, more excellent work Gigi.
Your lines are clean and sharp as always. The one
problem which stands out to me is that, in the last
picture, the back leg of the crouching man looks
like an afterthought. Beyond that the posing is
very nice. Character interaction looks natural.
And as with your other work, You render the
Figures beautifully through shading.

Yha- that’s a good point. It’s a hold over ‘shadowing perspective’ effect held over from a previous style of mine. But you’re right, the more I look at it, the more it just doesn’t seem to work. thank you dear- I love you’re comments!

'He's a real nowhere man,
Sitting in his Nowhere Land,
Making all his nowhere plans
for nobody.'

I love this image…there’s a long story behind it, but suffice to say, it came to me after visiting a very sad place a day after a very sad date…and somehow I just couldn’t stop laughing and crying.

Yha…well, the song is a bit sad if you know who it’s about... and as for me crying...well its a long story. Still one of my favorite songs though. their FIRST that was not about love. And do you mean Eleanor Rigby? That’s a classic- but I’m more of a ‘Walrus’ and ‘Lucy in the Sky’ fan. Its so true- there are SOOO many to love!

now how about something a bit...darker

from the story 'Submerged’- which is a re-examined, re-mastered look at the classic YS cartoon

‘What is the storm ends,
And I don’t see you
As you are now
Ever again…’

‘bood’ indeed <3

I love this ‘Submerged’, I’m having a blast working on it- and I don’t often get to play with such dark scary themes. It’s most fun.
