As a new year's resolution, the characters will no longer have elephantiasis in their ankles and wrists.

(Yes, I'm aware that this resolution was made a few months ago. And yes, I'm aware of the hypocrisy of this statement.)

Their ankles and wrists aren't really that thick...and what resolution a few months ago?
