Elemental Academy: The Early Years

The school of 6 elements is a foundation over 700 years old, when it was raised from the ground up it was nothing more then a small house with a few training areas and classrooms scattered amongst the grounds. After many years of faithful teaching the masters of the school have raised it to be an academy of incredible worth but it is shadowed as nothing more then a myth, a legend. Any who knew of the school's existance was sworn to secrecy and forbidden to mention their affiliation to one of the six elements, the reason being that normal humans cannot understand what it means to wield nature as a weapon or a tool, in the past there were those who could do this openly but were killed as 'witches' or demons, history must not be repeated.

After the founding of the school, the masters set out along the world with their own unique abilities to find the 'gifted' ones, those who have the aura of an elementalist coating their body invisibly. At the beggining of the new year the ones scoped out recieve a letter about acceptance to a prestidgous school where their wildest dreams can become reality.

The story of elemental powers being gifted to the world is an old story, far older than the school that teaches about it, in a different plain of existance there was a society akin to our own, but all of these men and women were gifted with control over one element. All was fine until the rogues of each elemental plain chose to band together under the command of an extremely powerful and talented elemental mage of darkness. Together with his followers he waged war on the world and killed thousands to attain a tome sacred to the Ancient ones. With this book he cast a powerful spell to erase the world and restart it in his image. The ancients fought against him with their people in tow and used their powers together to try and cancel the effect. They were too late to finish and their existance was shuffled to a different plain. Our own. The elemental world was not destroyed but instead displaced, it's residents no more than spirits. When a spirit finds it's opposite they can be reborn inside of them, giving up their power to the one they choose.

The masters learned of this and honed their skills while finding other like minded wielders and thus the school was founded.

The goal of the school is to ensure that a child's powers grow and that they know how to use them, and when to use them to avoid harm to the user and those around them.

The school itself is hidden away from the eyes of regular humans thanks to the combined efforts of the masters and the teachers. The school has relocated since it was first established due to it's size. An area nearby a dormant volcano was chosen to be the schools new home, the volcano and the mountains surrounding it providing a strong wall of protection. Each morning it rises to illuminate the school and each night it is coated in the darkness of the mountains. On it's outskirts is a lushous jungle stretching as far as the eye can see with lakes and streaks coursing along it. The wind whistles through the tree's to provide the surrounding area a level of calm that seems almost unnatural.

The school itself is a massive, almost labyrinth like, series of buildings that house many training rooms designed for the teachings of each element. The school has expanded to a point where even students who have attended for years find themselves lost amid it's structures. At the back of the area is the school, a 5 story tall building stretching three football fields in both directions. Outside of the school there are houses set up for the teachers and former students have come back after many years to open up stores and libraries to give the new generation a better experience. It has evolved more into a town then anything.

To prevent explorers from stumbling upon the school it is protected by a powerful barrier made of the essence of each elemental teacher, refreshed with new power at the start of every new year to assure it's power continue's at its full potential long after the school is dust.

The 6 Elements are Water, Fire, Wind, Earth, Darkness and Light. There are other Sub-elements that are described below as well as types of magic. Every student will start out with a small amount of ability in one element and will eventually grow to master it.

Sub-elements:
Blood(Already Taught) – The main purpose of Blood is to enhance the power of various barriers and to boost healing spells, but it has many other uses not known to many.

Lightning – Usually used to speed up an organic being or recharge/power up a mechanical being.

Shadow – Used to help warriors in stealth, allowing them to sneak around by rendering them virtually invisible in the night.

Types of Magic:
Druidic(Already Taught) – This form of magic includes the transformation into WereBeasts, each type having their own unique abilities. The telltale that someone’s about to use one of these spells is the sign of whatever animal’s WereBeast the person is changing into.

Physical(Already Taught) – This magic is used by the warriors who specialize in melee combat to power up their weapons in some way to give them the edge in hand to hand fights.

Protection – These spells are usually used in conjunction with the blood SubElement due to the fact that the majority of these spells are barriers, each varying in resistance and effects.

Offensive – The Offensive magics are the ones derived from the 6 main elements and are used for those who are not physically adept at and prefer to attack from afar with powerful magic.

Arcane – Casters of the Arcane magics are those who prefer the tactical way of weakening their foes with curses and illusions before attacking them head on.


Ancient NOT TO BE TAUGHT – Spells that the Ancient ones themselves created during a war in the original Elemental Realm in an attempt to stop a Forbidden spell from being cast, but shortly after the creation of these spells a Forbidden Spell was cast, annihilating the original Elemental Realm. Only the Ancients and those they have deemed worthy have knowledge of the Ancient spells.

Forbidden NOT TO BE TAUGHT – Spells that the Ancients have forbidden use of due to their extremely powerful results that could destroy the world should the wrong being gain the secrets to unlocking the spells.

The Ancients
The Ancients were the six lords of the original Elemental Realm, beings that were both admired and feared for their immeasurable power and ability. The Ancients still live on in this new world, but as spirits waiting for the time when their new bodies are born, allowing them to be fully reincarnated.

Edie stands at around 5'8 and takes pride from being the tallest of his siblings. His sun-kissed skin has scattered scars on his back and legs (most importantly on his left knee from a rather nasty bike accident); and it's quite common to find bruises on him from his latest escapades. As one would expect from a lad as active as him, he posses an athletic build and a tough body; as his various accidents over the years have proven.

He's always been meticulous when it has come to his appearance, always trying to look good for the ladies. His thick rave black hair has always been unruly, consistently struggling against any attempt to style it, much to his frustration; hair gel and mousse appear to be it's mortal enemies. The only two hair styles which have ever proven effective against it has been the "combed back" which tends to last for about two to three hours unless the gel has excellent hold. The other and most commonly used is the spiky-haired look; which is just a more stylish version of his normal look... which isn't saying much.

Attire: His taste in clothing has always been rather simple, so long as it's comfortable,won't hamper his movement and can take a beating he'll wear it. He typically wears shorts or jeans, sneakers with a t-shirt or maybe a jersey depending on his plans for the day. He's never been one for formal wear, finding them suffocating and tends to refer to ties a nooses. You'll typically find a digital wristwatch on him and a black and red messenger bag, where he keeps most of his things such as his cellphone and notebooks.

Personality:
Edie is a very hands-on and outgoing person; always being the first one to try out and never in the sidelines. He can come out as brash or reckless at times but that's not true. He just doesn't think too far ahead or too hard about consequences. He lives in the moment and speaks his mind freely; which often makes him come out as blunt as a baseball bat and smooth as sand paper. He's boisterous and rather excitable, being prone to over react. One could easily find him in a crowed, he's pretty hard to miss; he's the guy who almost fall of the railings trying to catch the home run ball and laughs after hitting the floor below with the ball in his hand. He loves doing things and being with people, and tends to get frustrated when he has to slow down so others can keep up; though depending on the company he might not mind. He loves a good challenge and has a certain charm about him; which attracts people to him.

He's persistent, smart and is very bold; which typically means he'll find away to get what he wants, even if he has to do something incredibly stupid to do so. Though he's never been one for book smarts; he knows it's important, but he just can't seem to get interested in most subjects to the disappointment of various teachers. He's shown ingenuity and the ability to think under pressure, which makes his disinterest in his studies all the more infuriating. They just can't seem to keep his interest, and by George have they tried.

While somewhat foolish at times, he is a great friend. He'll always be there when you need him and probably when you don't think you do...or want him too. He might be a tad bit too curious at times, which might explain his fascination with cats. He has a habit of making his way into peoples lives and finding out what there problems are. His family beat into him the importance of friendship and ones word. After all with out good friends and family life's not really worth living is it?

Appearance:

She is a very short girl for her age standing at about 4 feet 2 inches. The hair on her head is of the color purple and usually it is very curly and hard to manage. Accompanying her hair is two green orb-like ornaments in her hair she wears in her hair as a memento of her mother who died giving birth to her and usually puts it such that her hair has pigtails. The face of this girl is usually very delicate due to her naturally pale skin. Her normal attire usually consists of a blue sleeveless dress with green floral designs. She usually wears gloves matching the same dress she is currently wearing that extend from her hands to her elbow. During special events she loves to dress in outfits people would find weird or unfitting such as cosplay of a fictional character. Her favorite cosplays include the great female magical detective Nancy Holmes. This cosplay outfit consists of a standard Sherlock Holmes style outfit with a heart shaped magnifying glass which is her “magical weapon” to convict evil using her “Mystery Love Shine!” attack. Another one of her favorite cosplays is Squirrel Girl a female super heroine who looks exactly like a squirrel expect for her human face. Her powers include being able to climb anything despite the surface and has amazing fighting ability.


Weapon of Choice: Fists, despite her size and gender she has very powerful fists and has trained in Garcia style martial arts taught by her father.

Personality:
Cecille has a hero complex; she longs to be a great hero of justice that everyone to look up to. She follows her own sense of justice and always wants to do what she can to help those in need. This little girl has great pride as being a warrior as she travels down her path of valor. Her self proclaimed title is “Cecille the Brave” due to her unrelenting bravery against her opponents. Even if her opponent is twice her size she can easily knock them out with the help of her patented one hit one kill move the “Cecille Punch” and that fact that a lot of people underestimate her fighting ability.

She has a twin brother named Dynos but is older than him by one minute. After her mother passed away her father took it upon himself to raise his children in Garcia style martial arts. No matter how hard she tried to please her father she felt like he gave all his attention and praise to her younger brother. Due to growing up with two boys she is a bit of a tomboy herself thus she wears outfits that are girly in nature. When she was feeling depressed she would always watch some television specifically shows regarding heroes and loved to read comics and manga that dealt with those themes. Thus she became addicted to emulating what a hero should be in an effort to have a great life like they do. When she found out about her admittance to the Elemental Academy she vowed to prove to her father that she was worthy to take over the Garcia style school of martial arts.

Name: Helios Felis
Nickname: Heijin, Japanese Romaji for the blades of swords

Appearance:
A simple picture reference
Messy black hair, amber-colored eyes and a soft face, Helios stands at a shocking 6ft 1 for height and has an average build. Most of the time, you'll see him with a piece of seaweed in his mouth or reading through a comic. He is almost cat-like, moving quietly without falter in his elegance and may move up behind somebody without them noticing.

Helios prioritizes on comfort and effectiveness when it comes to clothing, preferring light clothing or armor that can hold a sufficient amount of equipment, let him move and act quickly, and have enough protection at the same time.

His most recurring of outfits though, would be a combination of a white jacket with short sleeves, a brown shirt on the inside, black pants, brown detachable pants legs, a pair of fingerless gloves and white boots, both protected by guards. They are uniquely designed so that it lets the wearer move his arms and legs quickly. His Katana is always seen sheathed to his left side, ready for use at any moment along with the many tools of trade of a ninja kept in the brown pouch clipped to his other side.

Weapon of Choice:
Every member that is taken in or born into the Felis, a royal family of swordsmen whom pledge themselves to the ways of the Felis and its Japanese heritage, undergo a rigorous and hellish training that turns them into versatile master swordsmen and fighters in any other terms of battle. Helios' preference for the Katana and Ninjato has made him a nimble and almost literally lightning fast blade with high agility and even more highly sharpened senses. Being a Felis has also given him some extensive knowledge on stealth, hand-to-hand combat and weaknesses of the body. He may still be a 13-year-old but he's a dangerous one.

Personality:
Hot-blooded and spirited, Helios has an extremely positive view of life and fails at taking things seriously. Helios also hates lashing out at people with violence when angered but is instead quick to remind the other party that he isn't a tool or someone to be messed with. He loves spicy and sweet food, most of them in the seafood category, sports and reading.

Although he isn't the sort to do work for free, he's still kind enough to help out if it's necessary. Another thing about Helios is of how he can easily handle a situation and is quick to easily warm up to others. He may sometimes pay no attention to his family's affairs and history but deep down, he has a very deep and true respect for the Felis. And even deeper down, he may not be what he seems to be.

A smile is always worn on his face that says "I'm a pretentious feline".

Name: Harrison “Call me Rhys” Mason

Appearance: Rhys is short and thin at 4’3” and 60lbs. Wiry and lean, he tends to look fragile. His eyes are close-set and a pale green-blue, showing his emotions quite aptly, though often the rest of his face does not. He has wild black hair with dark crimson highlights that falls to his shoulders in the front but is squared off in the back.
He wears a pair of slightly worn black slacks and a clean white t-shirt with no embellishments. He wears a black cloak with a slivery red inside. It is his prized possession along with his bo staff, which he bought with his own money.
If you can get him to take off his cloak and his shirt, you would see a multitude overlapping white scars on his back, layers and layers of them. Sometimes it’s a wonder he can move.

Weapon of Choice: His bladed bo staff which he bought a year ago to practice with.

Personality: Rhys is quiet and timid, learning not to show his emotions on his face or say his opinion from a young age. His mother died when he was young, leaving him with a drunkard who liked to fight things that don’t fight back. Namely him. He holds many scars from his father’s tender care. As he grew older, he realized what his father did was wrong but felt helpless to stop it.

Passive-aggressively, he began to get back at his father, making the wrong food, taking money from his wallet when he was passed out. It was with this money that he bought his cloak to hide and his bo staff to defend himself. He’d practice for hours, ever diligent and careful to hide it from his father.

He grew braver one night, and realized he didn’t have to live like this. He crept into his father’s room and stood over him with his bladed bo staff, prepared to strike. But he couldn’t bring himself to hurt him, he wasn’t his father, he realized, he had no inclination to harm. And to kill the Monster was to become the monster.

Three days later, Rhys got his letter, and smiled. This was his life, and he would make something of it. He would be better than his father.

Appearance: Standing at a solid 5 foot 4 with lightly tanned skin and a fair complexion, Allison has an air of grace and sophistication about her in public and around strangers, but around close friends she can be vulgar and loud but still pleasant to be around. A free spirit who is both strong and beautiful she keeps a black neck-length ponytail with a white scrunchie. Her eyes are a vibrant blue with streaks of white.
She wears a long skirt reaching down to just below her knees, silk and white with a light blue trimming on the bottom, a matching white long sleeve shirt with a blue button up vest over top of it covering her modest chest size, around her neck is a simply silver necklace. She covers her hands with black silk gloves, and her feet have thigh-length black stockings with black buckled up boots.


Weapon of Choice: With her lightning ability he has opted to use thick brass knuckles that are defined by the two inch long spikes between the index and middle and the pinkey finger.

Personality: Very polite and well mannered with etiquette and grace, her very presence inspires others to stare in awe at both her beauty and the gentle way she moves. But beneath the surface breaths a very dangerous weapon, she can be vulgar and cruel in a way that nobody would expect of such an innocent looking girl. She is known to use her electric powers to shock anyone that she even suspects has an attraction and when in combat she is focused on bringing as much pain as possible.
A true rose with thorns to match.
