Ahh…thank you dollmaker. And yes, joint muscles are my dirty little secret when it comes to illustration. As a costume designer you learn to do only quick outlines of their location and I fear sometimes that notion permeates into the rest of my work (though rarely in oil). I always welcome constructive criticism, though I try rarely to give it. Although everyone seemed to take my once comment so well…I don’t know. Perhaps I should do it on a request only basses. I can get pretty “mean” about critiques.

As a general rule I try and keep my fine art life and my illustration life separate, but I found these floating around my external drive and thought ‘what the hell’ so here they are. A little taste of something different.

these two are images from my moleskin- i ALWAYS have one on me, its my portable brain
enjoy

warning: figure study, contain nudity

The third one does contain tasteful art nudity so I am keeping it in link form. It’s a study for a possible color illustration

So…I just finished designing a Beatles tribute show and…yha…kinda fell in love with John Lennon. What a beautifully tortured soul <3

Whywho…so, yha that’s where this comes from. I’ve been working like hell but maybe I can pull some more stuff out of my butt later.

John Lennon (ca 1964) character studie
sorry for the quality- i have no scaner where i work currently

Cool drawing. As expected from you, Gigi.
Much less stitches on people than what I'm use to from you, tho. XD Kiddin', ofc.

*giggles madly*

no, no, I’m afraid the only Beatle with ‘stitches’ is Ringo (speaking of which HAPPY BIRTHDAY RITCHIE!)

you have to hand it to Candy though, the look is memorable ^.^

Quick illustration from Chapter 12 of one of my all time favorite Beatles Fanfic’s ‘the Dark Horse’. Very sad story with some absolutely heart wrenching moments.

After throwing away the seashell bracelet given to him by Richard, 14 year old George wakes up Paul in the middle of the night, begging him to help him find it, which Paul dose because hey- he’s that kind of guy.

“Okay. Then we’re friends again. You bastard.”

*giggles madly and runs of to chew on award happily, chitterling like a squirrel*

ok- I’m pathetic but here are more Beatles Fic moments.

From the Fanfic ‘Were all Mad Here’ in which the boys are all members of an insane asylum in the 1960’s (very clockwork orange, I love it <3)

Slightly neurotic, jumpy, filter-less, suicidal, and absolutely adorable teenage George takes a somber moment to tell Richard how he was betrayed by Paul, the horrible things he’s lived through, and how he has lost all hope in everyone and everything.

“I would never do that to you”

*giggles* It’s funny- I keep getting that comment, and I suppose rightly so. But as it stands, the comic actually picks up about 10-15 years after ‘through the looking glass’.

Okay, I do believe you have become one of my favourite snafu artists.
Your pencil-work, lines, posing, anatomy, all beautiful.
Three thumbs up.
(don't ask where I got the third one, its a long, messy story full of blood.)

*Giggles and Waggles eyebrows dramatically*

Yes well, this time out it was almost on purpose. He’s a bit of a gangly little runt aint he. I was playing with trying to make him dynamic within that context by twisting many parts of the body- but since you picked up on it as awkward, I’ll take it as a failed experiments. *sighs* ah well, that’s what this shit is for! and its why I love yha

Well- you certainly know how to make a ‘doll’ feel special. Thank you!

*blushes wildly* and thank you too love. Both of you. it almost makes me want to post more. I somewhat gave up for a bit there but…who knows.

Edit:
You know what…ok- why not. More sketches. Beatles sketches none the less!

These are a bit…weird, admittedly, but here they are any way. So I was musing over how many, many, MANY times Ringo is made fun of for his height (or lack there off) so I doodled these. I’m not thrilled with the way my John+Ringo sketched turned out but I’m rather hell-a-proud of my Paul+Ringo and my mini!Ringo (as some have since called it) in a teacup.
