S4M, how tightly controlled is immigration in Meka? Is there a way to smuggle someone (and his big hulking bodyguard) in?

S4M...lol

Anywho...

As stated, traffic is becoming a growing problem, which means that there will be so many ships coming in and out, every new arrival would have to be checked in at stations sort of like how people would be checked out at Ellis Island in NYC. Long lines, crowds, busy officials. You get the idea. Plus there would be some measures of petty crimes happening as well. There are ways to smuggle yourself in if you're careful enough to avoid detection. Which means you'll have to get out of that airship or whatever quickly. They like to check out ships too. Security reasons, you know.

Also (this goes for everyone), people with close ties with the nation tend to "get in" faster than those who don't. It's a sort of biased system, but you often see how Meka really works. Like I said, it's all based on you're character's role and nationality how people will see you ;)

I assume orks get all kind of trouble.

Also, getting a post done. I'll try to work on the CS more after. Gah, still thinking over parts. And part of me keeps saying "Careful, don't step on her lore, don't ya mess up her Orks, now...."

Oh yeah, with Mek especially (at the present time).

Don't you worry too much about my lore though. I still like to give my players flexibility in my RPs after all :P

Sam, I'm going to be editing the description of my character's robot - it seems too cyberpunk at the moment, and I'm doing some research on steampunk robots to get a better feel for how it should be.

CS

Name: Sora'oso Enta'rion

Nickname(s): Sora, Sor, Ra, Oso

Age: 26

Gender: Male

Race: Orr-kin

Country: Orrlee

Affiliation: Neutral

Job: Blacksmith

Description:
-8'9"
-560 lbs
-two horns that start on the hairline and curve Diablo-style and end over the shoulders
-hair style similar to Infested Kerrigan from Starcraft(minus the segmentation in each individual strand)
-cleans every 3-5 days,
-has a fire tattoo that covers the left arm from the wrist to the shoulder.
-wears a black hooded trenchcoat and a blacksmith's apron
-tan skin

Equipment:
-Tribal walking stick
-blacksmithing tool belt
-wrist blade on left hand which opens like a switchblade so that the blade is over the back of the hand
-ring made from the sands of the Glass Desert on right middle finger

Personality: Quiet, not very social, but will gladly rip someone to shreds if they've done something they shouldn't have(i.e. murder, cover up something big, hurt someone that just so happened to have Sora'oso as a friend, etc.,)

Powers: Able to manipulate sand, stone and fire, which comes in very handy for blacksmithing. Can also imbue an eye with fire and his own blood to create an Eye of Kilrogg(sort of. Called Eye of Fire for the purposes of this RP).

Hobbies: Glass sculpture, saying "Need a light?" and "You want a piece of me, boy?" at, more often than not, appropriate times.

History: As a child, Sora'oso was constantly mocked by his fellow Orr'kin for being "weak". Eventually tiring of the other kid's taunts and jeers, he went into a rage and opened a can of whoop-ass on the kids who had messed with him, and discovered he could manipulate sand and stone while he was delivering his due revenge. After the brawl, he went to the local blacksmith and was apprenticed three days later. A few years later, he learned that his teacher had recently begun cheating everyone out of what few coins they had. Confronting him, the elder blacksmith denied any knowledge of what the boy was talking about until a swift kick was delivered to the old Ork's face. After a verbal battle and a severe pummeling, the old Ork finally succumbed to the boy and gave him ownership of the smith and all the tools within and a ring he claimed was made from the sands of the Glass Desert. He died in his sleep fifteen days after Sora'oso's 23rd birthday, and was cremated and cast to the winds. On his 26th birthday, he was given a summons to Meka to help construct parts and pieces for the various machines, items, and weapons produced there.

Welcome to Snafu Saraos :) I hope your first RP here will be most enjoyable.

Welcomes aside, let's get to work on this little CS of yours . . .

What sort of clothes does he wear? And what shade of skin does he have? Put a wee bit more description in your character's appearance (bribes you with pictures). Although I do have a sweet picture in my head of how your guy's hair look.

Seriously, that's pretty sweet dude.

Wait, wait, wait hold up.

ring made from the sands of the Glass Desert on right middle finger

*looks at his nationality*
*looks at map*

How did he get this thing?

*expects to see it in the history*

Strong, silent type eh? Does he have any quirks that you'd might like to share with us? Not that I don't like the strong, silent type. It's just there seems to be something missing...I can't tell what, but the guy needs to have something that distinguishes himself from the rest of those strong, silent types.

soraos21 wrote:Powers: Able to manipulate sand, stone and fire, which comes in very handy for blacksmithing.

Oooh~ sand. I like the sand manipulation thing *nods* I was wondering whether someone would think of the possibility of controlling sand (even though they are pretty much stones being eroded away by wi-) *is shot*

It works :D

I loled. Now I have the picture of a guy with an infested Kerrigan haircut, wearing a blacksmith apron, saying to some dude that flipped out seemingly out of nowhere, "Need a light?"

Awesome xD

*looks for a description on the sands from the Glass Desert*
*finds none*

Finished the rewrite of my robot, and added some details to my character's appearance. I'm much more satisfied with them now. Changes are in bold.

I don't know how I feel about Soraos' rather obvious love for Blizzard (which is usually fine - Blizzard may have its faults, but its artistic direction is always...usually (*cough* Burning Crusade Items *cough*) spot on.), but I really do like the idea of a Glass Desert. What if the glass is red? There could be legends of it being stained by blood of some horrific battle, and the land forever cursed with that red glass sand (lol, glass sand). I usually have no patience for a shoddy cs, but that idea alone makes me kinda want to cheer for it.

Oh, and welcome.

Well there is a Glass Desert *points to the descriptions of the nations*

Problem is that its in Sophya, which is why I need to know how Sora'oso got a hold of a ring made out of its sands.

As for red glass sand and curses...

Well, there are stories of hauntings and blood and all that, don't know about the sand being red. But it does have a sort of glassy look to it :3

Anywho, I now dub Stitzkin "Bullet Head".

Oh - I totally missed that part of Sophya's description - I assumed the desert was just any old desert and I didn't really look at its location other than on the map.

No! Stop giving my characters nicknames ;_; or I'm going to go and make a phallus shaped...gun, or something. What are you going to call that, then? Huh? Huh?

Alright Sora, I will accept you, mainly because I see potential, which is good. Like Red I am sort of hesitant, but I will give you a chance.

Beat the system once, you get a reward. And not in a god-modding, corny sort away. I'm talking clever, kick-ass system shut down. You'll see what I'm talking about when it comes, and it shall COME for your character. Other players, take note of this, you guys will know it when you see too.

Beat the system again, you get another reward, only more awesome.

Don't be surprised if I nitpick you for grammar and detailed descriptions, I can't help it. I enjoy reading and making novellas :3

Think about things before you do it. Plan a few steps ahead if you have to. Always be prepared for the worse. And don't overdo it. Always find ways to improve yourself.

Do this, and you too can be an aeronaut.

Let the Trial by Fire BEGIN.

(P.S. This is totally not because I want another Ork in my Rp. Totally.)
(P.S.S. Neo, you're in charge of Ork relations. Sorry buddy.)
