Last episode of DW was great... I think Amy is one of the two best companions of the new series, the other one is Donna of course. :)

Yeah. Gotta love Amy. Damn I want it to be next saturday already.

And I apologise once again for how slow everything's been recently. Irl commitments have cropped up, and I've been unexpectantly bombarded with stuff to do in the RP section. Seems all the RPs I'm involved with have moved on all at once, and now need my attention.

But tonight I will be dedicating myself to this RP's post. So (with any luck) I'll have something up sometime tomorrow. If all goes to plan.

Name: Curtis James Silva
Age: 25
Gender: Male
Species/Race: Human
Current Location: Cardiff, Wales; in a back alley, in the shadows, near a hotel.
*Organization: N/A
Appearance:
A tall, slender guy, with light brown hair that falls to the nape of his neck (skater style), cerulean colored eyes, and fair colored skin. Curtis dresses more for style than comfort, so more often than not you will find him in an un-tucked button up dress shirt and a pair of black slacks.

Personality:
Curtis is all about opportunity, he doesn’t really plan for many things to happen or even when he is going to do things. He believes that chance happens once in a life time and if you don’t grab that chance it will slide away and leave you hanging. When interacting with people he ends up being quite sarcastic to begin with and will only let that slide away a bit if he gets to know the person and enjoys their company (a rare occurrence since he move around a lot).
Curtis really has his doubts about aliens, but after coming back from his brief trip to England and hearing all the stories circulating he has come to a conclusion that they are either real or the population of England has some sort of story telling dieses that he hopes is not contagious.

*Weapons/Gadgets/Tech:
Curtis is fairly low tech (never having cared to pick up a cell phone since he would have no one worth talking to anyway) he carries a pocket knife on his left hand side and keeps a nine piece lock picking set and a plastic card on him during most nights.

Talents/Skills:
Curtis is very good at blending in with the background in most environments; he uses that skill and his lock picking skill to obtain things from others during the night. He is good at solving problems and is fairly stealthy.
Faults/Weakness:
Curtis’s problem is that is not very good at smooth talking his way out of situations he seems to find himself in and he is not very good at street fighting with those who are larger than he is; so Curtis is more likely to take the flight over fight method in most instances.

Background: Talk a little about your character’s life up to the point of receiving that message from the Doctor. What was it like? Did you have a job? Have you had any dealings/encounters with alien life before (if so describe it, i.e. Maybe you are a former member of an alien-fighting organisation, such as UNIT? Or maybe you’ve simply witnessed an alien life-form before now?), or is the Doctor the first alien you’ve ever met?
From a young age all Curtis noticed from his parents was that they absolutely hated each other with every fiber of their beings. It was obvious that they were only trying to stay together for him, but even that was not going to be enough. After a rather rough night with a large fight that involved the police, his mother left leaving Curtis alone with his father who did not work (the lazy bum). At first Curtis started to develop his skills as a thief so that he could feed himself, but after that it gradually became a hobby just going after bigger and better things. He left home at the age of thirteen and never looked back.
*For OC’s only: How do you think your character will meet the Doctor in this ‘future’ he’s told you about?
Curtis probably will have watched the Doctor leave the tardis and will go over and try to opening it. Once he realizes that the tardis is locked he will commence with trying to break it open, assuming that something good is inside. The Doctor will have come back and caught Curtis in the act of trying to break open the tardis, but will just pull him in since he is running away from some other dangerous race at the time. Curtis will be forced to help save the world, but after words will probably still be scolded for attempting to break open the tardis.

OOOooooOOOOO…OOOoooOOO…! :P

Doctor Who – Defenders of Earth, OOC

Chapter 2 – Now it begins…

Sypnosis

At 3pm, a group of people gather together at the designated meeting place in Cardiff, Wales. Called upon by a Time Lord called the Doctor, they’ve discovered the wonders of psychic paper, met a dashing Captain, and done battle with monsters. Their First Encounters with the Doctor’s world has certainly been something of an interesting experience.
But now, the real adventure begins…

With the Doctor Missing In Action, it’s up to the alien-fighting organization ‘Torchwood’ and you, to take the wheel. Can you handle the dangers on your own? Will you explore the world of Torchwood, and see how they work things? Will you help protect the Cardiff Rift, and defend the Earth from alien threat? Will you try to help the life forms that come through the rift, or fight them? Violence or Salvation? Order or Chaos? Life or Death? It’s all in your hands.

Maybe you’ll see new worlds. The Doctor may have disappeared, but his spaceship, the TARDIS, is still stranded on the planet Ariesia. Will you travel to the planet, and brave the dangers there to fetch it back? Only time will tell.

You are the Doctor’s new companions now. It’s you against everything.
Good Luck.

@Gekko: Harold and the others wouldn't know about the Torchwood entrance. No one has told them about Torchwood's secret entrance, let alone that it's hiding right there.

The water monument would be 'just' a water monument - just like the TARDIS would be 'just' a police box, if no one had been told about it.

That's right. You were given the location (Roald Dahl Plass) and the time. And you were given the impression, that Captain Jack or someone from Torchwood would meet you there. Nothing else.

Well, the season ending was nice... not awsome... but nice. I hope there will be a season with Dr.Song as the main companion. I mean she knows him very well, and that would be probably the best way. On ther other hand I would miss Amy.

@aj: i have the feeling that dr. song will never be a true companion in the sense of that amy is. I think she will just keep apearing at difffernt points throgh the doctors time line, never truely travelling with him, but allways there when he need her or vice verser.... if that makes sense... i don't think we will be losing amy just yet though.

I thought it was quite clever. Like with the    Time of the Angels bit...hah, and I thought it was just a wardrobe malfunction when his jacket magically reappeared XD    Bit disappointed that there was    no main villain, but great use of Time travel. Reminded me a bit of the Time Travellers' Wife when he suddenly appeared 'dead'.    Did feel like there should have been something more, but that's probably just because I'm so used to Russel T Davies' 'ZOMG SUPER INVASION WITH LOTS OF CHARACTER REUNIONS' finale. I think it made a good change - just hope they come up with something very different for the finale next time, there's no way that kind of thing would work again without being boring.

Not sure about River. I kind of agree with Gekko though, I think she seems a little two free-spirited to be tied down with the Doctor. I think she'll be more like Captain Jack in terms of Tardis trips ;D But hey, I could be wrong. It would be nice to see her take more of a 'companion' role.

His lead was about a building and a half so Ivy has no idea where he went. I would love it if you would have Jack help her out. *Sigh* Man I am so far behind on my Doctor Who, it's already the season's end?

Finally made a CS for Specialist Hays, sorry it took so long. I shall try and have a post up soon as well.

=============================================================
Name: Specialist Theodore (Theo) Hays
Age: 22 years old
Gender: Male
Species/Race: Human
Current Location: Started in Ft. Bragg, NC along with Mini. Is now in Cardiff
*Organisation: US Army, 82nd Division

Appearance:
Specialist Hays is a tall, skinny white guy standing at 6 feet exactly with messy hair that is the color of hay and bright green eyes. A notable physical trait Hays has is the fact that his ears are slightly bigger than normal, which unfortunately led him to be teased in middle school. He also has the standard military buzz cut at the sides, giving him a slightly goofy look. For clothes, Hays often wears a simple T-shirt along with jeans or the military issued pants while on his feet he wears combat boots. He can always be seen wearing a tool belt around the waist and a pair of camouflage headphones over his ears.

Personality:
A wise-cracking sort of guy who can’t help but make a joke out of every situation if only to make him feel safer about it. But when situations start to get dirty, Hay’s cowardly side shines through. You can bet your arse he’ll be one of the first to run. Hays dislikes being on the front lines, and very much enjoys his job as a mechanic and pilot for the US Army. Can be sarcastic at times, and is not afraid to get into the faces of those in charge, especially Sgt. Mini Fillmore who he jokingly calls “Gunny”.

*Weapons/Gadgets/Tech:
Apache helicopter (or had one at least)
AK-47 Walkie
Headphones
Sony Walkman Radio
• [i]A tool belt full of assorted tools

Keeps a pilot’s manual handy, even though he never really reads it

Talents/Skills:
Can pretty much pilot anything that flies. As long as it can be associated with the military
Is REALLY good at fixing stuff
Has standard training in the use of a gun
Has quite a lot of knowledge on the history of Great Britain and her neighbors

Faults/Weakness:
Doesn’t work well under pressure
Can be a bit of a coward
Easily gets into trouble.

Background:
Theo would admit that his life isn’t exactly the most exciting life ever. He was born to a large family with five siblings including three that are older than him, and was raised in the rural area of Fayetteville, North Carolina. Before going into the army, Theo was a farm boy who was used to working with his hands. He would mainly help mend broken construction or help his father work the machinery. By the age of ten, Theo knew how to drive a tractor; by twelve, he could ploy the fields. He joined the army upon recommendation from a teacher who saw that he was skilled at fixing and driving things. It was in the army that these skills flourished.

Before he met Mini, Theo was working at the Pope AFB as a mechanic in charge of keeping to the base’s helicopters and planes. Then suddenly, out of nowhere came these strange robots dressed in Santa suits. Out of general fear and shock, Theo had taken off running, and then bumped into the legendary gunnery sergeant known as Miniqwa Fillmore. Theo hadn’t really believed in aliens before that day. He had seen a number of B-movies about them, but never really taken it seriously. For him, they were just a product of Hollywood. And then the Robot Santas attacked.
