[center]POEM TOMask: Mask of Emotions[/center]

there's a Mask unlike any other

a Mask that grins and lies

a Mask that frowns and cries

a Mask that scowls and scares

a Mask tht blanks and stares

i know for I've seen the Mask

i've seen those who wore it enter thier cask

i warn you, dispair will loom

wear it, and you'll see your doom

its beauty will disappear

filling all with fear

[center]Prologue to mask[/center]

I don't know when it happened...
...How it happened...
...Nor why it happened...

All memory has vanished as soon as it touched me face....

I don't even remember my real name...

I have been called many things...

...Demon...
...Cursed One...
...Thing...
...Monster...

Roaming around... Village to Village...
Asking... Pleading for help

But, I've been turned away... Driven out of their Villages.

They don't understand... non of them understands

They see only the mask...
This horrid, disgusting mask...

Years roaming, finding no one

Then... I found her.
Snow had fallen. Trees bareing white skeletal hands

She had gone to play on the frozen lake. The ice gave wayfrom beneath her

Quickly, I ran and pulled her out.

She was cold... I kept her close. soon warmth returned to her. The child opend her eyes and looked at me...

...She smiled...

She pointed the direction to her home and I caried her there

Her father thanked me and gave me room to stay.
His name was John
The girl was Annabel

I asked of her mother, but they didn't answer... I quickly understood...

I stayed there for 4 days
Then, they came...

They came to kill me. they set fire to the house. I was able tosave Anna...
...but it was to late for John...

...Now, she has no one...

I took her away... far away

We came to a peacefull village. Cut off from the world. Untouched by war

I could see they feared me

I found a woman who could take care of Anna. They bonded quickley. she was safe now.
it was hard leaving them, those 15 years ago. She was like a daughter to me.

Now I am alone...

I continue my search for a way to free myself....

...Only then I will return to her...

1) BBcode does not work in thread titles.
2) In case you missed the great big announcement at the top, all art is supposed to be under a thread with your name, not thread per piece.
