Name - Michael Grim
Age - 67
Height - 5 foot, 6 inches.
weight – 256 bones, that’s the best I can do, he’s pretty light though, considering he’s just empty bones, and clothes.
Appearance – Well….he’s a skeleton, thin and has a small sad smile on his face if it isn’t blank. Wears an old fashioned style of clothes. Slightly dark grass green trousers, a white shirt that’s hanging out with loose arm cuffs, a simple green tie, a green waistcoat and a pair of green gloves with out fingers that also show off the knuckles, he also wears some old, second hand plain black shoes. Blank eye sockets, a zipper mouth and no tongue or ears. He does have dark ginger hair, mainly a fringe really, but he’s a bit touchy about it. (all the green items of clothing are actually the same colour as the trousers, just couldn’t be bothered repeating it all each time.) One odd thing about him is that he can pull out various items and things from under his shirt, he just opens a couple of buttons, sticks his arm in, roots around an pulls something out, normally small items, it’s quite helpful for carrying stuff around. He also has a green satchel
which he carries some books and other items around in.
Personality – Quite calm and gives off a sad feel. He’s quite inquisitive and curious about humanity and life as he has never had much contact with anyone apart from his father and most of the times when he met people, it wasn’t in the best of circumstances, so he’s a bit shy as well now. He’s quite clever but that’s mainly because he doesn’t forget things. He likes reading in his spare time, and the more unrealistic, the better. He has a soft spot for cats and is a nice fellow. He is normally a perfect little gentleman as Famine hammered the manners and why he should be polite into him.
Background story - He was born, somehow, one of the things he doesn’t like talking about, and was raised by his father, according to his father he never had a mother. He chooses not to question this. When his father was on business he would normally be left with War, Famine or Plague as babysitters, which is where he learnt to fight, cook and be gentlemanly and how to cure, poison and some other sciences. He learnt many other more interesting skills from his father, such as necromancy, about souls and spirits, various undead and other species, and of course, how to reap. He was allowed some contact with the outside world but this normally only extended to the end of the words “YOUR TIME HAS COME” and as such he never got much social skills, he did meet some other undead children at meetings and gatherings his father sometimes went to. He creeped out and scared most of them but did make some short friendships.
Death, being a concerned parent would normally never leave Michael alone in the house, but one day when the other horsemen were busy, and after a lot of consoling and “I’ll be okay” Death decided to leave Michael on his own. As he left he was told to never look through Daddy’s stuff, to never ever open anything and lastly to NEVER EVER OPEN THE BIG BLACK DOOR. At the young age of 105, the first thing Michael did was ignore all the desks, papers and locked things and walk over to the BIG BLACK DOOR and open it.. Inside there were numerous time pieces which, when touched, showed a person’s life as it happened, the ones closest to the door showed those that were born and the ones furthest away showed those that were dying and dead. Michael being the kind hearted thing he is, would often do little things like turn the time pieces running out of time upside down for good people as he couldn’t stand by and see good people die young. After a while his father realised what was happening and got a little upset. Basically he was grounded and told to stay in his room, for a year, he says it was very boring and lonely. His father and the other horsemen met up and decided the boy needed to learn discipline and how good and evil weren’t meant to matter in the reaping business, as after all, death comes for everyone in the end.
He did have a small relationship with a young girl three years before he went to the school whom he missed a lot when he was grounded, he had given her father some more time and had noticed that her timer didn’t have a lot of sand in it when he passed it. He was very lonely at the time and wanted someone to talk to, so he decided to go and meet her. Her name was Aliza, she was eleven years old, had brown hair and got over the initial fear of a small skeleton boy crawling out of the ground quite quickly, even if she did run inside to go get a frying pan to hit him with, he still has a small dent where she hit him. She also didn’t have a lot of friends and her parents were at work a lot so she had spent most of her time in the forest behind her house where they had met. She had stared at him silently as he crawled out of the ground and after Michael was half-way out and was about to push his way out with his arms, he noticed her and they stared at each other for a few seconds, Michael had just noticed she had nice dark brown eyes before she screamed, kicked his head off, shoved his body over and ran off to get the frying pan.
After the small blip at the start they got along famously and she would normally find him waiting outside in the forest for her after she got back from school. Michael found Aliza to be funny, intelligent and fascinating and meeting her became the high points of his days. They would play games, invent stories, daydream and on a few rare occasions after a lot of coaxing and whining from Aliza, Michael would put on a hoodie, pull up his collar and they would go shopping in the small, nearby town, they ha a lot of fun on Halloween where Michael was able to be with her all day and meet some of her friends without them being terrified.
Unfortunately Michael’s father soon found out about everything so he had only a few rushed minutes to run inside, get to her room and tell her what was happening before his father appeared behind him in a dark cloud of acrid black smoke, grabbed him, glared at Aliza and evaporated into smoke again with a screaming, squirming, fighting Michael locked in his grip. After some pleading an begging, his father had decided not to return and silence her so long as Michael agreed to do as he was told, Michael hastily agreed and was grounded until he was told to go to school, he hopes to get in and out quickly and meet up with Aliza again after.
Type – Demonic creature, son of death. Has some Necromancer skills and is a reasonably skilled fighter, this makes him quite a threat as he is quite fast, determined and mildly invincible. He has some powers over darkness, life-and-death, a few dark-magic spells and bone magic.
Weapon – A plain scythe, made from a wood and some form of metal, which is indestructible and can return to him in any way if he loses it. It can change it’s temperature so that it can freeze the air behind it as it swings or burst into flame and leave a burning trail of fire and hot air behind it, it is also extremely sharp but can change it’s edge so that when it hits you it wouldn’t really do any damage, just hurt a little. Has a few symbols on it which glow faintly sometimes but as Michael hasn’t mastered the weapon, it’s secrets and power remain hidden.
Trinkets – A plain gold-coloured locket around his neck that holds two pictures inside.
