I'll try to convince my parents to be cool with it, but saying "I'm going to [random town] by myself for a convention to meet up with a friend or two and I'll be back by the weekend" sounds fishy even to me. And before you ask I'll be in summer school but sleeping over at my folks' place so it'll probably be like high school all over again when it has to do with me leaving by myself to someplace. Where in Texas is it again?
