I started this last night and well I dunno just where to go from here and I feel like I've already screwed up...something just looks wrong with it to me...Image

That's pretty good man, though some of the lines don't seem very defined, make the lines slightly thicker and somewhat even, and I'l sure it'll look great.
Granted, I'm not an artist of drawing, so I'm only giving what I can, but that's pretty damn cool riht there.

I noticed a few things you could fix

He has a 4 pack, might wanna go with a 6 pack

His thumb is screwed up

His pant leg gets really thin at the bottom

His kilt thing (whatever its called) has the same problem as the pant leg.

It reminds me of Albel Nox from Star Ocean 3. "It doesn't matter how many maggots you've got; I'll crush them all."
It's an interesting style. It's really pretty good, although maybe the edges of the lineart look a little messy.
