Yeah. One of my favourire episodes too. I love Steven Moffat's episodes...one of the reasons why I'm looking forward to series 5 in spring.

Those are easy though, all you need to do is win an overly extended staring contest :D

Yes, like them    TURNING THE FUCKING LIGHTS OUT!

I remember literally thinking 'Oh Shit!' when that happened in "Blink"...

edit: On second thoughts, better spoiler that, just to be on the safe side.

Okay... My CS

Name: Kathleen "Chimaera" Salmon
Age: 26
Gender: female
Species/Race: Human/Caucasian
Current Location: Beaconsfield, England
*Organisation: N/A
Appearance: A thin woman, Chimaera likes wearing tank tops, preferably blue and usually two, and dark blue jeans, and white sneakers that look a little grungy. She has long-reddish brown hair and brown eyes.
Personality: Chimaera is a very twitchy, anal retentive person. Always flinching slightly and has a habit of looking over her shoulder. Everything has a place and it has to be in it's place. She tends to fear women and is quite shy. But when you have her trust, nothing will cause her to lose that trust in you... which explains her tendancy towards abusive relationships, like her current boyfriend who has put her into the hospital seven or eight times. She's the head chef at a high end restaurant and when she's in her kitchen she is in charge, otherwise she is as meek as a mouse. Chimaera dreams of one day owning her own little restaurant. As for aliens, her thoughts are: If we can live here, why can't they live out there.
*Weapons/Gadgets/Tech: Two music players: one with all Ayreon songs the other has whatever music she is in the mood for.
Knife kit: Complete with twelve knives and a meat mallet
A Samsung SCH-A630: tends to get taken by her boyfriend
Talents/Skills: Knife-throwing, cooking, and running
Faults/Weakness: Tends to panic, hopeless romantic so she'll believe any guy who tries anything on her, afraid of women in general, OCD, tendancy towards abusive relationships
Background: Chimaera's father left before she was born; leaving her with her abusive drunk mother. From a young age she had to keep the house neat and tidy, do the shopping, and her favourite, cook. Lousy at sports she threw herself into that one thing she enjoyed and learned that while she couldn't throw a ball, knives she could throw, she has one "trick" where she throws up her knife and whatever she needs cut and they land on the cutting board, the food a perfect brunoise (1mm x 1mm x 1mm). Her mother drunk herself to death and she started living on her own, sort of... She has been in a series of abusive relationships, because that is the only life she's known, only breaking up with them after the police get involved. (The police know her by name.) She's head chef at the Red Rose, a high end restaurant. Her current boyfriend is Ted; a crack addict with a heavy hand and a habit of refusing to let her use certain things i.e. the computer, the TV, the phone...
*Theme: Devil's Dance Floor - Flogging Molly Holding Out for a Hero - Bonnie Tyler
...On a side note I just found out they don't make my phone anymore...

....My car...My beautiful DeLorean...

I knew I should have posted and parked the car somewhere safe before you posted.

Retribution is in your future Doctress.

Also, nice to see you joining Tragedy.

Teeheehee!

MQuinny, it's Doctor Who. You have to be prepared to have everything around you (including yourself) destroyed.
I mean come on - the Doctor blew up Rose's job, blew up Jack's spaceship...yeah, your car was just asking to get blown up.

Look on the brightside! Now you can say: 'Roads? Where my Delorean is going, we don't need roads...' *sniggers*

That seems to be ok :)

As for the phone it doesn't have video capabilities
That wouldn't actually matter...the Doctor's good with making tech do stuff it's not meant to do.

I meant in context with what she previously said...or was she just simply stating that it's her phone (In which case I got what she said)?

And I'm still trying to figure out how I can make Mimi's head turn around in time? Any suggestions, anyone? I was thinking of having a random soldier warn her but I don't know.

Re: Doctor Who - Defenders of Earth (OOC) |Sign-ups Open|

Postby Doctress Who » Mon Mar 15, 2010 1:26 pm

Well in that case, here are some ideas:

1. as you said, there could be a soldier nearby. The Robosantas have only just started attacking the base, so not everyone's attention would be completely focused on them just yet, and it wouldn't be impossible for a random soldier to be nearby.

2. Although I stated that they 'quietly' removed their halos, there's still nothing to say that they made no noise through that action. I've re-watched Voyage of The Damned, and the angels do make a metallic clinking noise when they remove their halos. So it's possible that, since they are right behind her, Mini would have heard the slightest bit of sound. And although the Halos move fast, the angels themselves move very slowly (when not in flight). So if she noticed what was going on and reacted quickly enough, she could save herself.

Hope that helps.

Ah, see that was my problem. I thought that the angels made no noise and completely forgot about the metallic clanking sound. Thanks for the help :)
