Character sheets for Crystal and Commander Blaze. I tweaked both of their designs a bit to be less complicated...and because I had to draw these straight off my head because I hads me no reference. D'oh!

I'd like to show you guys what I'm coming up with so far comic-wise, but I don't want to spoil anything. However, here's something I unearthed from my old reference files:



Basically, a shot of Geargirl at work. She's an astute professional, but prefers to take on projects (particularly the big ones) personally, which is why she's wearing her lab coat over her neatly pressed business suit. She could always let her team of workers assemble her products while she attends to other matters, but where would be the fun in that?

I did some art.




Two pieces of fanart for "My life as a Teenage Robot". Never thought I'd ever do a Vega pic, but, there you go.



Done as part of an art trade. I wasn't satisfied with what I had given the recipient of my end, so I offered to do another piece with a more...dynamic pose.



Original character concept.
Gave her a new weapon to match her theme, wings have been shortened, hair is a little more 'bouncy', pants have been tightened.

There's a guy on one of the forums I frequent that consistently harasses me, and I feel like letting off some steam here about it. See, I did a drawing 6 years ago that resembled the unholy union of several Mk characters, and he called me out on it. Fair enough.

But when you go and dig it up from six years ago over, and over and OVER again when I've improved not only on the design but several others as well like some frigging dead horse, that really pisses me off.

Here's what I wrote. I figure if I post every single thing on the matter and confront it instead of trying to hide it, he'll have jack s**t to say to me anymore.




...I need a drink. And a punching bag.

Hmm it's composition wise it look alright. The dolphin looks kinda weird though (probably the size of it's beak to the size of his body is off) Also all I see if a foreground(the 5-6 different character in front) and a back ground (the Giant guy in the back) which makes me think you should add a middle ground somewhere or better yet make the 5-6 guys and girls be th middle ground by adding something to the bottom right corner maybe smoke, or explosion or something(don't have to be complicated).

Also that tech girls right left(our left looking at her) looks kinda weird as well. Probably the angle her foot is point throws it off .

Anyways that's all the advice I have for this looking good so far.

Ah, thanks, DC! That's some good advice.

About the dolphin...see, at the time I was drawing this, I had no references around, so I had to wing it. Sadly, I suck at drawing dolphins from scratch, hence DERP DERP the dolphin.

The smoke/explosion idea sounds excellent, I'll try that.

Sounds like a good idea. I'll work on it a bit more as soon as I get back home.

...any more suggestions, by the way? I'd like to change the dolphin's nose, but I've already inked it. What's the best way to go about changing it?

well since your already going to be coloring it later I suggest redrawing it in photoshop. I redraw a lot of my stuff in photoshop because they don't look anyway that I want to on the paper and it takes a little ingenuity to do it. Best way is to use your pre-existing dolphin as a guide and just draw either ht body bigger or the beak smaller.
