A few months ago I started jotting down some random thoughts for a screenplay I'm writing. Right now I'm calling it "Thin Little Line", and since I began writing it, it has expanded into quite a 'multi-literary' concept. After hours of thinking, I decided I should turn this into a major animation project, put it in my portfolio, and send it to the California Institute of the Arts (Hopefully, by the time I've finished this I'll be finishing up high school. With this, I'll have a project to show CalArts what I can do and, if my grades stay up, hopefully they'll let me in). The project will be displayed in 4080i HD resolution and will be presented in front of an audience of about 170 people before it goes into my portfolio. It will be the first animation project my 'Underground Theatre Animation Studio' will have.

I've written several pages of notes along with only about 6 pages of 'official' scriptwork so bare with me, none of these sketches are official - in fact, they're not very polished. These are early concept screens of various characters. Keep in mind that most of these characters are rehashes/re-designs of the same character. :snoogins: . Some of 'em don't look quite right, mainly because they were all rushed and not really...worked on too much.

Hello

With the extra time I now have on my hands, I also decided to ressurrect a project that I've since let go, Beyond Grim 'n Evil. Now that I have the time, I can finally get this project off the ground. Here's a sketch I've recently done. A blank, emotionless, Mandy design:

I'll come back after I'm done working on this stuff some more.

It's going to be a combination of several programs. Mainly I'm going to Animate it in a somewhat "Foster's Home FIF" flash style with cell shaded 3D Lightwave backgdrops. After that's done, I'm going to polish it up using Adobe After Effects and edit it in with Adobe Premier.

BTW, thanks for your comments!

Nothing's very polished or colored. I'm not done with the sets and everything here is pretty sketchy. Here's something tho:
